His P.O.V

What.The.Fuck.

There she was, standing in the entrance of the kitchen. Mouth gaping and eyes wide looking utterly shocked.

How could this even have happened.

I thought my mother had been outside, hoe had she managed to sneak in without making a sound. I know for a fact that the door to the deck squeaks when it's opened.

I had already let go of Kennedy and noticed she had begun doing the dishes ignoring the situation.

"I knew it!" She shrieked triumphantly with a smile.

"Mom this ain't a good thing!" I whispered hushing her.

"Yes it is, Kennedy is good for you" She argued putting her hand on her hip.

"No mom I could end up in jail if Rocko and Leta found out" I sighed.

"Like I would tell, you act like I wasn't a teenager" She scuffed crossing her arms glaring at me.

"Just don't say anything" I pleaded giving her my best sympathetic look.

"You know I will" She smiled before walking over and slapping me.

"Oh what the fuck was that for!" I growled rubbing the back of my head.

"Trying to lie" She laughed before walking back to the outside making sure to close the door.

I rolled my eyes as Kennedy walked over to me.

"That was close" I sighed pulling her close to me again.

"Too close for comfort" Kennedy mumbled looking down.

I took her chin and tilted it up, looking down into her eyes. Something was up and I didn't like it.

"What's wrong?" I asked concerned looking at her.

"I don't want us to get caught and you get in trouble." She said placing her hand on my shirt.

"Why I knew what I was getting into, take that statement as you will" I chuckled.

It had a duel meaning, so she could take it as she chose. Yes it meant I knew what I was doing when I was starting what ever was between us. However it also meant she could be a handful at times.

"I know but still I don't want you to have to leave" She sighed grasping my shirt with both her hands.

"But Ken I knew what I was doing when this happened" I explained yet again to her.

"I don't care Cole! I don't want you to have to go" Sh sighed exasperated

"Why I'd be fine darlin" I titled my head to the side a bit confused.

"Because I like having you around" She spoke softly and blushed looking down.

"Well I like being around you" I smiled down at her causing her to look up.

"You're gonna be the death of me you know that right" She fake sighed before laughing a little.

"Yes and I'm oh so sorry Miss MCulley" I smirked in a fake formal accent.

"Watch it Hawthore" She fake growled sending me a fake glare as well.

"How about I bite you instead" I teased heading for her neck.

"Don't" she giggled pushing me away as I began to kiss her face all over.

"I do what I want little lady" I chuckled letting her go.

"We actually have to do work" She laughed turning around and starting to walk into the kitchen.

So I took my hand and smacked her ass. The sound of a small gasp leaving her lips causing a smirk to grow on my face.

"Michole!" She scolded as she reached the sink.

"Kennedy!" I scolded in return while clearing the table.

She simply rolled her eyes and finished off her part of the chore relatively quickly. Which had caused me to finish mine soon after.

Afterwards heading over to the sofa and we had just began to talk about anything and everything.

In which case I had found out some things I didn't know about her and vice versa.

Like how her favorite color was mint green as it was the perfect mixture of green and blue. How her lucky number was 14 as it had constantly been her volleyball number. How she had broken nearly every finger at some point or another. All these things I had absolutely no idea about.

Soon the sun began to dim as our parents made their way inside the house.

"What are you kids gonna do for the rest of the night?" Rocko asked turning to look at us.

"Probably just relax, might even go for a swim" Kennedy smiled at her father brightly.

"Alright please be safe, lock the doors when you go up. We will be upstairs, night kids" Rocko called kissing Kennedy's head and nodding in my direction.

"Night Rocko" I gave a small smile as Leta had done the same.

Last came my mother who enveloped me in a hug giving me a good squeeze. Motioning for me to lean down before kissing my forged.

"Night Mikey" She smiled "I'm proud of you" She added in a whisper.

"Thank you momma, Love you" I kissed her cheek gently before she gave one last smile heading up to bed.

Waiting until they reached upstairs listening for the closing of their doors Kennedy finally spoke.

"Look at you, a mom as boy. My my the bad boys gone soft" She giggled crossing her arms.

"I haven't gone soft!" I defended with a huff.

"Oh I beg to differ Mikey" She teased bring the edge of her tongue.

"I absolutely hate that nickname, no one calls me that" I rolled my eyes at her.

"Why I think it's so cute, for a big softy that is" She continued to tease.

"Oh you are done" I fake growled before picking her up.

I tossed her over my shoulder and listened as she squeaked and begged for me to set her down as she saw what was happening.

"Michole Elijah set me down right this minute" She called her fists furiously hitting me.

I was completely un phased by her attempts to break free. If anything it only made the smirk on my face grow wider.

"Okay" I smiled before tossing her into the water with a loud splash. Flecks of water hitting my leg as she submerged.

It onto took seconds before she came shooting back to the surface to look at me.

"Y-Y-You bastard it's f-fucking cold" She shivered her teeth shattering.

"I'm sorry" I frowned feelings bad as she did look cold. I reached down to help her and was surprised as I found myself falling.

Coming up from the water I flicked my hair from my eyes and wiped away the excess water.

Only to have her arms wrap around me and her head rested on my chest.

"Much better" She sighed absorbing my warmth and sharing a bit of her own.

My arms wrapped around her back and pulled her closer. Looking down at the short figure in my arms.

Damn was I one lucky bastard.
