Dream felt numb. The highs would always fade to quickly for dreams liking. He knew that he had lost himself completely but he could care less. Dream slowly let himself go down the path everyone warned him about. However the people who warned Dream weren't here other than sap. Sapnap is coming home today. That means the lies and mask are coming with him. Dreams addiction had been getting way worse, he's not sober for more than a few hours. He's called all of them on the trip but they only talked to him for an hour the whole trip. He's slowly realizing that they don't care and never have. The thoughts are feeding into this idea.
He has been sitting crisscross for an hour thinking about what they are doing. Dream decides streaming could take him mind off of things. The computer was only a few feet away but it felt like he had been walking for miles. He finally makes his way to the computer and starts it up. Dream takes a few moments to prepare himself to hit the "Go Live" button. Streaming took a lot mentally. The chat isn't always so nice, he's getting judged by so many stranger.
He took a much needed breath and moved his mouse over the button and hit it. The viewer count was rising and rising so, was his anxiety. Over the year he's been streaming this has never gotten easier. Light illuminating off his pc hurt his eyes and gave him a headache. "Hi guys. How are we doing today?" The chat flying bye with "he's live?" "Hi Dream :)" However, this is something Dream adores about his job. Connecting with a bunch of his fans is something so heartwarming.
Dream spent hours just talking and singing with chat. This feeling won't last forever and he knew that. He doesn't appreciate his community when he's streaming because of nerves but, as soon as the stream ends he sits and stares at the wall missing them. This feeling of emptiness was so comforting yet so scary. He constantly felt like he was floating and days seemed so slow and long, but he can't really remember any of it. Although now looking at the with powder layer in lines, it seems like he's gonna remember this.
~Time skip~
A day later and sapnap had finally returned home to dream. Sapnap had definitely noticed something different about dream. Yet, Dream kept up with the lies saying things like "I didn't sleep enough." It seemed to convince Sapnap enough that he stopped questioning him. Dream misses talking to George on the phone for 13 hours a day. However, George has been really happy apparently to his instagram post.
