Scott's POV
Mitch and I were having a little fun after dinner and the triplets were kicking him so hard that caused Mitch doubled over in pain.
I fell off the bed and leaned down in front of him, pressing my ear against his belly, "What's going on in there guys?" I heard the thumping of their heartbeats.
The synchronization of the beating against my eardrum, so whymsical.
I got lost in the sound, Mitch ran his hand along my head, "Scott? Are you still here?" I opened my eyes and inhaled deeply, "Yeah, I got lost in their heartbeats."
Mitch smiled holding his back, "Will you rub my back, right here? One of them just kicked me really hard."
I smiled and got up off the floor, I lifted Mitch's shirt to find thousands of light, black and blue brusies all over Mitch's stomach. I gasped running my fingers over them, "What the hell are these?"
Mitch sighed, "I didn't want to tell you." I examined his stomach, "You didn't want to tell me that they're kicking so hard you're developing bruises?"
His head fell to his chest, "I'm sorry, I didn't know it was getting so bad. I noticed them a few days ago."
I sighed, "We have to get you to see your doctor. I've never heard of babies kicking so hard that they brusie your skin." Mitch sighed, "Let's just get some sleep then I'm really tired." I kissed his brusies and laid down.
He cuddled close to my chest pulling my hand close to his belly, "Thank you for a semi-great night. You relieved some tension." I smiled kissing his forehead, "You're welcome. Go to sleep, I want to figure out why they're kicking you so hard."
Mitch curled up to my chest and quickly fell asleep while I rubbed his stomach, I loved to feel my babies kick, don't hurt daddy. You're leaving brusies on his tummy.
------------------------
The next morning I woke up to Mitch laying on the other side of the bed. I rolled over and kissed his cheek, "Baby? Time to wake up. We have to go to the doctor today."
Mitch groaned, "Alright. I'm getting up." I sat up on the edge of the bed and stretched my arms, "Such a beautiful morning, I feel so great." Mitch grunted and struggled to get out of bed, "I feel like shit. I think last night was a bad idea."
I turned around as Mitch just squirmed and sighed to sit up. "Do you want some help, hun?" I could tell he was on the verge of crying, "Yes, please." I frowned and ran over to his side of the bed, "It's alright, let me help you get dressed."
I went over to his dresser and grabbed a loose sweater and a pair of maternity pants. I turned back around to see him crying holding his belly, "I'm in so much pain, it hurts to cry!" I dropped my hands, "I'm so sorry baby, Let's get the kids off to the bus and then we'll go to the clinic."
Mitch nodded, "Alright." He sniffled and lifted his arm whincing. "What's wrong!?" He lowered his arm with waves of pain, crossing his face, "I don't know, my whole body is killing me."
I wiped his tears, "Shh, we'll get to the clinic soon, My poor baby." I put shirt on ever so carefully and helped him slip on his pants, "Ow ow ow, please baby be careful!" I frowned, "I'm sorry, honey."
Mark came to the door, "Hey Papa?" I sighed, "Come on in, buddy." I was standing in front of Mitch, who kept groaning everytime he had to move. "Hav- What's wrong with Daddy?"
I looked up at Mitch who was standing there, shaking and holding my shoulders with his eyes shut, "He's not feeling well, what do you need?"
"Have you seen my shoulder pads?" I sighed, "They're in the car. My keys are down in the bowl. Put 'em back when you're done." He smiled, "Hope you feel better, Daddy."
