Kaitlyn (the youngest of the Grassi-Hoying clan) fell into a coma from brain damage caused by a fall. Scott picked up the Triplets from school and brought them to the hospital to see her. Mitch has tried to stay strong for her but he doesn't know how much longer he can hold out for.

Mitch's POV cont.

I sent Scott and the kids to go get pizza, while I stayed with Kaitlyn. My little angel, 'I'm sorry this happened to you, baby. I wish I could change everything; I wish I could've put a gate on the top of the stairs so this would've never happened.' Kaitlyn moaned, my eyes shot to her eyes, but they never opened.

A nurse came in to check the monitors, "Is everything alright, sir?" I looked at my daughter, 'What does it means if she moans?' She replied, "Coma paitients usually makes random noises, it's not uncommon." She walked out and I continued to stare at my baby girl.

I kept having flashbacks of when she was a baby,

Kaitlyn was fussing in her carseat after we had brought her home from the hospital. Scott picked her up, "Why is my baby girl so fussy today?" I smiled, 'Maybe she's hungry, I'll fix her a bottle.' I stood up and walked over to the kitchen.

Mark ran over to Scott who sat down on the couch, "Papa, can I hold baby?" Scott smiled, "Sure buddy. Come up here on the couch." Mark climbed up on the couch and placed his hands out on his lap.

Scott laid Kailtyn on his arms, "Hold her head." "Why?" Mark asked, 'Cause it'll fall off.' I said sarcastically, "Mitch don't say that! It's won't fall off buddy. Her neck just isn't strong enough to hold her head yet."

I giggled and handed him the bottle. 'You wanna feed her?' Mark grabbed the bottle and placed it in her mouth, she went to town on it. The bottle was gone in less than 7 minutes.

I cried thinking I may never see her beautiful blue eyes ever again. Kirstie came in, "Hey Mitchy." Once I saw her I broke down. She grabbed me as we both fell to the floor crying, "I know it's hard honey, but everything will be okay. She'll wake up soon."

I continued to cry as I looked at my daughter laying motionless in the hospital bed, 'What am I suppose to do if she doesn't make it? I can't move on with life without any of my children.'

"She'll make it, baby I promise." Kirstie was always there for me no matter what. "Has she progress at all?" I wiped my tears, 'No she moans and shifts every few seconds, but she hasn't improved at all.'

She moved her hand across Kaitlyn's soft forehead, "She just a sleeping beauty." I ran my hand through her long brown hair, 'She's my sleeping beauty. Katie, please let me see your eyes one last time?'

It was strange to me, She has my hair and Scott's eyes. I've never seen traits like that. "How is Scotty through all this?" 'He's trying to hold strong, but he's like a bottle of soda; the more you shake it the harder the explosion.'

"Are you guys switching off? One stay here one night and one stays home with the triplets?" 'Yeah I feel like I have to stay here.' She looked up, "Why's that?" 'I was the last person she saw before she fell into her coma. What if she wakes up and doesn't even remember anything?'

"Well, honey, she'll know who Scott is. He's her papa, he always will be. There's no changing that." 'You can head out if you want, I'm gonna stay here tonight.'

Kirstie grabbed my arm, "Mitchy, you need rest. Let Scott come here and watch over her. Please, you can come back in the morning." I cried, 'How can I go back to the house, when I'll just have nightmares of her falling over and over again. At least me being here, I know she's safe.'
