~~YOONGI'S POV~~
"Hobi?" I call for the fifth time, scanning his entire home.
Once again, I am greeted by only silence.
"Hobi, are you here?" I repeat, ignoring the sinking sensation in my stomach.
It's been four days-- four entire days without him. He just disappeared. He would never go somewhere without telling us. Never.
I haven't seen him around town, at the market, he hasn't stopped by, and he's never even at his house.
"Hobi!" I shout angrily, sliding down agaisnt the wall. There's no way he's hurt. Hoseok is a though fighter, and no one can take him down. But why does my stomach feel tight and twisted like knotted ropes...?
I storm out of the house, huffing as Jungkook bites his nail nervously.
"He's not home," I growl, brushing past my friend in a brisk manner.
"Yoongi, something must be wrong. Hobi Hyung has never done this before. He always comes over, every day! I haven't heard a word from him, Jungkook!"
I continue walking in silence, words refusing to form on my lips.
It's okay Yoongi.
He's alive.
I can feel my heart begin to pound.
I can't loose him.
I can't loose him.
"We need to search," I breathe slowly, steadying my breathing, "Every inch of this village. All of it. We need to find him."
"You--y-you-- don't think he's d-d---," Jungkook's voice cracks.
"No!" I roar, refusing to believe the unlikely possibility.
Jungkook falls silent, avoiding my gaze. We continue walking until my house is in view. Jungkook faintly smiles when he notices Jangmi and Sanghee sitting side by side on the steps, talking with wide smiles. They seem to get along incredibly well.
Smiles.
That's not something I see much of in Changu.
"Where were you guys?" Jangmi asks, looking at us with curiosity. Sanghee states with the same intrigued glance. She never really asks about my business. But I can tell when she's curious-- or when she particularly doesn't like me fighting Muhyeok's boys late into the night.
"Just on a walk," Jungkook replies, maneuvering around the subject of Hoseok. They both know he's "missing." But no one wants to be reminded of it. He's our sunshine; and life is too dark here. It's hard without him.
"Oh," she responds, not questioning us further.
I walk past the two women, opening the door and making my way inside. I quickly search for my bottle of alcohol, grunting in annoyance when I can't find it anywhere.
I know it's bad... Using it in this way... But right now, I need to just distract myself and fall asleep--- I need a peaceful sleep without raw and gory nightmares. I need to forget about this life, even if it's for eight hours.
