I'm sorry you won't get your daddy-daughter dance,

The chance to see me in a pretty white dress,

I'm sorry I put you through so much stress,

I'm sorry you won't get to see me in a prom gown,

I'm sorry I'm always letting you down,

I'll cut my hair and legally change my name,

I'm sorry that I won't ever be the same,

I'm sorry I won't ever be your beautiful little girl again,

I'm sorry I'm not as pretty as I was back then,

I feel like I've destroyed all your hopes and dreams,

I'm sorry I'm tearing this family apart by the seams,

I'm sorry I'll never be good enough,

I'm sorry I've fallen down and never been 'tough',

I feel guilty; I've ripped everything away from you,

I'm sorry about everything I've put you through,

I'm sorry that I won't be much of a success,

I'm sorry my life's been a constant, total mess,

I feel like I'll never be as good as someone else's child,

I'm sorry it's been too long since you've seen me smile,

I'm sorry I'll never get back to being okay,
