Shu is waiting at the back exit of the school dorm leaning against the bench kept in the ground. He checked the time on his phone. 11:30 AM it said.
Yesterday, Elaina finally told him what she wanted him to do for her and Shu was really taken aback by her request. "I want to visit the city and stroll around." She said. Shu was surprised by her wish at first but then he came to know that Elaina isn't a native of here. She only came here a month before solely for the purpose of studying in this university.
And to fulfill her request he had made a gate pass for both of them with the help of Sirius to allow them to go outside the building premises.
He was worrying for nothing he thought to himself but then another idea crossed his mind. When a girl and a boy go together to have fun, isn't it usually termed as date? His face flushed red on this thought
That's ridiculous we are just going to look around! Nothing more, we don't even know each other yet. We're just friends going for a walk! He argued to himself and scold his mind to discard such stupid stuff.
After a couple of minutes Elaina arrived waving to him with a sweet smile. She was wearing a pink knee length dress with a red open jacket and black thigh highs, her hairs freely dancing in the wind. Shu gasped.
"Hello! Good Morning!" She wished.
"You're late" Shu said trying to not look at her directly who knows why.
"Excuse me, its 11:40 right now our meeting time was 11:45. So I'm not late you are early". She then smirked " Why there, is someone very excited?"
Shu blushed again like what the hell is wrong with this? This is not how it is supposed to be I am supposed to act cool and make her blush why is it happening opposite!!
"What's wrong" Elaina asked making Shu snap out from his thoughts.
"Nothing... Let's go!" I'll make you blush pink for sure you little acting cool!
After a little walk they came across the main plaza of the city. There were many malls, shopping centres and various other stores around. Elaina was just casually walking seeing the lively scenery letting Shu lead the way.
And before she knew they were standing at the station.
"Why are we here?" She asked.
"You'll know soon" is just what shu replied.
Elaina didn't mind because she was really occupied in setting the new scenery in his mind and traveling was something she really enjoy.
After getting off the train and walking a few distance they arrived at a big entrance. Elaina froze looking at the signboard. And then her eyes widened with excitement and joy she gasped
"Amusement Park!!"
"Yes, that's what it is, so do you lik- before Shu could complete his sentence he found himself being dragged by a groovy girl to the inside. Shu paid the tickets that he already has.
Elaina's eyes were shining brilliantly looking at the various rides, games, shops and all kinds of stuff.
"Let's ride them all!" She exclaimed.
"I don't think we have that much time." Shu remarked.
"Right, then let's not waste a single moment!"
Firstly they arrived at a shooting centre. They both took their chance but coincidentally both were the worst shooters and failed miserably in their attempts and wasted as much bullets to prove I'm better than you.
Then they played the game to catch the object using the ring, hammer game and many others. Instead of playing they were both more interested in making the other lose! And it turned out to be a huge competition.
After tiring out from the games they decided to rest a little and check out the various snacks at the different stalls and browse about the shops in different directions.
It was already 6:30 PM when they found themselves finally sitting at a bench idly after the excited day. Shu glanced at Elaina. Her eyes were still brimming with the same enthusiasm looking the landscape in front now looking even more ravishing with the lights turned on and people and children walking around excitedly.
"Let's ride the Ferris wheel before we go!" She chimed.
Shu smiled looking at her energy. "Sure!"
The view from Ferris wheel looked mesmerising. They were both silently looking at the cityscape. When Elaina said.
"Today was really one of the best days of my life! I'm so happy.
"Yeah, I also enjoyed very much"
"I'm looking forward to go around sometime again with the whole student council... But for now, here! This a token of my thanks to you Shu. Thank you for today. She said pulling out a small box wrapped cleanly in a red paper.
Shu looked at it "Why, Thankyou, but you know you didn't need to do this..?"
He take the box from her.
"Can I open it now?" He asked.
"Your choice"
"Then I will open it in my room"
"Booo!" She scowled.
"What?"
"Nothing"
After finishing their ride, they both started their way back to the schools. By now it was 7:30. They arrived at the school grounds at 8:30.
"Okay bye, thanks again for everything! "
"Yeah, good night see you!"
And with this, they both parted their ways to their respective dorms. Today was really tiring but hell of fun! Shu reflected after being comfortable in his bed. Then suddenly he remembered about that gift from Elaina. He jolted up take it to open it. Without trying to guess what's inside he just decided to see. It was a key chain! A silver keychain with guitar carved out on it!
Shu was surprised, how'd she know he likes guitar!? Oh, she might just have asked chris or zen... But this is really beautiful. He'll never lose it. It was a momento of this wonderful day and their newly born friendship.
He sighed in satisfaction and finally drove to sleep.
