Elaina was glad that there was nothing ackward in between when they talked the next day. Shu might've forgotten about that. Or at least she hopes so. After all it's already been a week.
Because it was a very crucial time for her to be in control because the ceremony when students are going to be rewarded with badges is now just a couple days far and because of that last week teachers were keenly observing the students determining who is the one who deserves these honours.
Also during the last week there was no interaction between Marianna and Elaina. Nor Elaina found Shu talking with Marianna much. Though now she has four friends but still she is all alone in the class and whenever there is any group or pair-ups activities.
She hates it that Shu is in class 1-B while she is in 1-A and also the fact that Marianna is in the same section as Shu.
Today was really a listless day for her when suddenly she was called up by her class teacher. "What could be this for? I haven't done any mistake. Have I? No... Then why am I being anxious? Uff.. just believe in yourself and BE CONFIDENT" She thought to herself all along the way though it wasn't helpful she was not able to stop her stomach from churning because of nervousness.
She arrived. There were already about two dozens students gathered up. They all seem to be from different grades and different sections. That's when she saw a familiar group. Of her friends. Shu, Christina, Sirius and Zen were all there. She joined them.
"Oh hey!! " So you're here too! Shu said. "That's great that we all are chosen isn't it!?"
"Yeah, I was also thinking about you. You are on top of your grade right. It was obvious for you to be chosen!" Christina said to Elaina.
"Wait! You guys know why are we called here!?" Elaina asked.
"That's a surprise that you didn't know. Didn't your class teacher told you? Shu asked.
"Umm no.. she just told me to come here."
"Us and all of these students here are the ones who have been chosen to be rewarded with badges!" Zen said twirling on his toes.
"So that's it!?" Elaina asked her eyes shining brightly. So she has made it! It's the happiest moment for her. "Yes!, yes,! yes! You did it!!" She screamed internally.
And then just at the cue their headmistress arrived along with two other teachers. Headmistress is a very strict teacher known for her firm ideals and morals. That is why many are scared of her and find her annoying but there are just as many who would think of her as an elegant lady and a person to be respected and admired. Her name his Ms. Catherine.
When she was in view everyone become silent under her gaze though she wasn't the one to speak up. She was just there observing the students from her spectacles when the other female teacher accompanying her said .
"Good Evening Children. Today you're here because of your efforts which should be admired and because of that you're all are chosen as the badge holders of our school. It is a respectable post and we want you to be a good example and impression on the other students. So I hope you won't let down yourself and the teachers who have chosen you. The ceremony will be held the day after tomorrow so for now you can disperse. If anyone have any doubts they can ask me tomorrow."
And with this the teachers and the students departed to their own ways.
"It really is an honour for us isn't it!" Zen chimed.
"It sure is!" Chris said.
"Yeah" Sirius also hummed in agreement.
"Things are gonna be exciting!! But for now Imma going to bed!" Shu said making others let out a chuckle.
Others too agreed. Everyone require break after a long and busy day. So Everyone went their ways.
"Finally... I'm really glad that everyone is together. I know that the members of cabinet got many privileges like going on a tour too!
Just imagine !! spending enjoyable days with your friends. And what's the best thing? That Marianna won't be with us to annoy me!! Untill now it looked like a dream to me that I read in manga or see in animes or movies. But now it seems not so impossible! I can't wait!!!!" Elaina thought to herself as she layed down in her bad. Curled up Smiling and squealing to herself imagining numerous scenarios in her head as she waited be to be asleep.
