"I should have expected this..." Elaina sighed exiting the staff room. The event of yesterday resulted in her being called out to the staff room for apologizing to that fellow student.
Yesterday night she had already realised that some fault was hers too because of her rude behaviour. Though it was her default mode but she should at least try to improve it more than ever if she became a cabinet member.
So she genuinely apologized to the girl in front of the teachers though the girl herself wasn't looking very satisfied.
"At least it went out without a huge drama..." On the way, she crashed into someone again.
"What!? Are you kidding me? Not this again! I really need to stop daydreaming!!"
She looked up to see who is gonna file another FIR against her ready to come in the apologising mode. But a wave of relief felt over her when she saw Shu.
"Oh, I'm really sorry!" She said.
"Not a problem!" He said in his usual cheery tone. "By the way, I heard you've been called out by the teachers?"
Elaina smiled looking down. "Yeah.. the news sure spread out fast.."
Shu just smiled softly
He then said with excitement
"Anyways! Time to cheer up!! Because depending on what I'm gonna say next you'd probably jump up and down in joy!!"
"Really?"
"Yeah! Because" he said stretching the end part. "Our grade is going for a picnic after very two weeks!!"
"What? You're lying?"
"I'm not!"
"But, it happens only after midterms?"
"Well, usually but this time it's happening before because the place where we're going would be good for Students for educational purposes. So that's why!"
Elaina was now beaming with joy just as Shu had predicted.
"Okay then, time for the important thing!" He said clasping his hands.
"There is a student council meeting regarding the trip tomorrow. So see you soon!" He said waving and then went on his own way.
"He has this aura that can make anyone forget his worries. Her mom would have been super proud of him only if he had thoughts sane enough to know that kidnapping a girl can bring him to jail..." Elaina thought.
She turned around to meet Marianna.
"Hey Elaina," she said.
"Hey" Elaina replied in a monotonous voice.
" Let me get this straight to the point. I find it really annoying seeing you with Shu."
"Oh wow, coincidentally I feel the same for you that makes two of us!" She said sarcastically.
"I'm in no mood of joking! You'll regret it if you come in my way." Said Marianna firmly.
"Whatever" Elaina replied nonchalantly moving away.
She arrived at her room sitting on her bed looking down from the window that is just above her bed.
She is really lucky because she can always watch out to see the captivating night sky whenever she wants. Because if this window wasn't here she'd have to sneak out every night. She is obsessed with the night sky.
then she checked her phone. the contact of her sister. "Should I tell her about the trip?" She asked herself thinking about her elder sister. she is her only family left. "She wouldn't care anyway... Besides, I think she would get mad if I disturb her.." She thought but she sent her a text anyways.
"And yeah about Marianna, should I be concerned? Ofcourse not! Moreover, if Shu found out that I doubted his friendship he'd be really mad!" She smiled.
"Woah! My mood is suddenly so good! That's a surprise! Wow, me you're very unpredictable ain't you? Okay then, let's study while listening to my playlist!"

Shu was on her way to her dorms when he heard Marianna. he turned around say hi
"hey"
"hey! she replied. and then her face dropped down with dismay.
"is something wrong?" he asked looking at her expression.
"I wanna ask you why are you so close to Elaina?" she asked with pleading eyes.
this was unexpected for shu. where did that come from? but he kept his composure and said.
"well.. we aren't exactly close. but yeah I guess she is closer to me than anyone else."
"you shouldn't stay so close to her!" she said desperately.
"um... I don't understand what you mean... why is this so?"
"Because she is not right! she is not what she pretends to be! if you stay with her, you'll probably end up being hurt! I know there are only four months of us being friends but I really care about it. I want to protect you from hurting yourself!" she said now tears visible in her eyes.
"whoa! relax! what happened? why are you saying so?" Shu asked totally astounded by her.
"Because she is not like this! she is a total psycho! once in q middle school she badly injured a boy that he had to be hospitalised
"c'mon! they are just rumours!"
"I see you don't believe me?" she said looking at a distant then she looked up meeting his gaze then I will prove it to you!"
"Sure, if you can"
