Stepping down the stairs of the girls' dormitory Elaina wonder to herself what could be the surprise that student council want to give her.
Last night Zen told her to meet in the student council room cause they have a surprise for her. And that's why she is now on her way to the student council room to end her burning curiosity.
"Good Morning Everyone!" She wished all of them politely.
"Yo!!" Shu replied her with his always energetic mood.
"Good morning." Said Sirius with a small smile. "The thing for why we have called you here today is because we have a proposal for you."
"What kind of proposal?"
"Since Zen here has both the jobs of adviser and treasurer of the student council. We had made the decision to offer the post of adviser to you. We thought you're the most appropriate person for this job judging by your wits in the previous case." He glanced at Elaina for an answer. "So would you like to take up this post and be a member of the student council?"
She glanced at everyone just to be sure about that. She never in her life would have thought she could get a chance to be on board of student council because she never consider that anyone would want to work with a gloomy, egoistic and emo girl like herself.
Although in academics she is as bright as a star but her personality is darkest. She knew it. In her previous school everyone either hate her or were weireded by her. She has spent her entire school years in seclusion but she doesn't need noone to be happy. At least that's what she think even though she would never agree with this a small part of her knew its lonely.
But now she is standing here in front of a group who doesn't see her in that way and care for her. They are her friends offering her opportunity to be more open with them.
Maybe this time it'll be different. May be this time she wouldn't have to spend the vacations alone.
Maybe this time she can have get togethers like other girls. And all because of that stupid incident. Because of that stupid boy. Because of Shu.
"Just say yes already! I've spent my whole morning blowing up balloons and preparing the after-party schedule!" Shu groaned making others let out their laughter. Elaina also let out a soft chuckle before saying with her most charming smile.
"It'll be my pleasure to."
"Then that's final! We're going for a party tonight!" Shu burst out.
"Yeah sure, but before that complete your homework. We've got only 3 days more before the school will reopen." Christina reminded making Shu groan again.
"Until then, come with me I'll tell you the responsibilities of the advisor and you can ask if you have any doubts regarding that." Zen said to Elaina as they both got out of the room to discuss.
"Having her on board would be a great help." Sirius said normally.
"Hmm" shu replied.
They had decided to meet in the student council room at 7:00 pm for celebration as they cannot go out of the school premises at this time.
They haven't decorated the room much except for filling the whole room with different coloured balloons blown by Shu. Placing few snacks on the table including a pizza, potato chips, chocolates, short cake and soft drinks.
"You all didn't really need to do all this you know...." Elaina sad shyly.
"Don't worry this wasn't a big deal at all." Zen said.
"Of course for someone who didn't do anything" Shu snapped at him.
"Are they best friends?" Elaina asked pointing to the ever-bickering Zen and Shu.
"No!" -"Yes!" They both said at the same time. And as you might've guessed Zen said Yes while Shu said no.
"Anyways let's raise a toast to Elaina!" Christina said with delight.
"And also to our newborn friendship!" Shu added.
"Yeahh!!" They cheered altogether spending the time and savouring the moment to the fullest while it lasts.
After an hour or so they bid their goodbyes and returned to their respective room in their respective dormitories.
"Today was really a blast and hell of a fun. This is the first time for me experiencing something like this... I'm liking it. I wish everything will be like this forever." Elaina wondered to herself looking out of the window in the veil of the night, when a notification pop on her phone.
An invite link to a group "Fantastic Five" sent by Shu. A smile crept on her face. She joined the group.
Elaina : If I were to guess right is this name given by Shu?
Shu: Woah you know me quite well.
Zen: I think she know quite well who is lame enough to think of this name.
Elaina: You understand me well Zen!
Shu: Hey!!! It's the best name for this group given by the best member!!
Sirius: Narcissism at its peak...
Shu: Its called self-love.
Elaina: It's overflowing.
Christina: Guys... At least don't fight over here.
Sirius: yeah it's quite late. I'm going to bed. Good night.
Zen: Yeah I don't want dark circles so Good night everyone!
Elaina: Good night!
Shu: night..
Elaina put her phone aside still smiling over the little conversation. When again a notification popped on her phone. This time it wasn't from the group's chat it was from Shu's chat.
Shu: Sorry to disturb you but I wanna tell you that I'm really happy that you joined the council and I'm really looking forward for us to work together!
Elaina's heart beat quickened up who knows why...
Elaina: Yeah me too. Thank you.
Shu: okay bye! See you tomorrow!
Elaina: Bye good night.
After a while when no notification popped up she put her phone aside finally going to bed. "What's with this unsettling feeling?" She thought to herself. " Maybe because making friends and all is very new to me... Will I really be able to change? Who knows..."
