The day of the ceremony went very well. There was about three hours function in the schools auditorium. There were various dances, songs, plays quizes and many other things performances by the students for the entertainment of the audience and then there was the main part when the host announced the name of the cabinet students one by one and them approaching to the stages. Teachers handling them their badges of honour and congratulating them for making out to this.
Everything went smoothly without any problem. That night the student council even went to karoeke to have an after party and celebrate which everyone enjoyed very much.
It's already been a week since that event.
Elaina had come to know now that Marianna is in the same club as Shu. She had even saw her clinging to him half of the day. She was annoyed by this in more than one ways.
She is not that sweet person that she pretend to be. Elaina had known it from the first day they met when she passed her that irritating smirk when they were introducing each other.
Elaina too wanted to be in a club with her friends but she knows she can't cope up with so many people not that because she is shy but because she really has some serious temper issues and oh her big mouth!
She entered the student council room. Only Shu was sitting there more like spreaded on the sofa, his face looking like a zombie.
"Hey! What happened? you're looking like a living corpse!?" Elaina asked sitting beside him.
"I'm really exhausted!! but there is the club meeting that i have to join so I'm hiding here to get away with it! " he exclaimed. "I can't go to my room because they might find me there and this sofa is so uncomfortable! It's armrest ain't even fluffy enough!"
Wow he can be this loud even when he is tired...
"You can rest in my bed..?"
Elaina simply stated for which Shu stared at her wide-eyed that's when she realized what she just said.
"NO! N-No!! That's not what I meant!! I was jus-just I mean umm... What did i mean!?"
She stuttered her face gone all red.
To clear the auckwardness Shu quickly faked some coughs his cheeks too showing a little pinkish tint but he managed to hide it unlike Elaina who was looking like a strawberry cake that looked really tasty to..
"Anyways aren't you in any club?" Shu changed the topic.
"Yes I'm in service club" she said finally relaxed.
"Is there any club like this? I've never heard that before." Shu asked
"Oh yah but you know.. I'm the only member of the club. I wanted to start a club but nobody really seemed interested in that but I'm really happy about that!! She said excited. "Since there was an extra room the teacher even permit me to use it and now it's like a whole personal space for me! I can relax there as much as I want without any disturbance!
"Woah! Never thought anyone would be this happy for a club with no members! But you know? That sounds great!!" Shu said grinning.
That's when the door burst open. Marianna stood there. She complained looking at the Shu.
"We have the club meeting! What are you doing here-" Then she narrowed her eyes looking at Elaina sitting across to him "with her?"
"You know.. i was just resting?" Shu said meekly.
"Oh no you can't! We can't do anything without our most prominent member!" She said in a pretend sweet voice. And took Shu's hand dragging him with her.
Shu just gave in at her and waved "See ya later" at Elaina shutting the door behind.
Elaina just sat there calming her nerves. This girl is taking the better outta me!! But why is it irritating me ...? She thought before storming out of the room to listen to some music and relax in her room.
On her way she bumped into a classmate.
"Hey! Watch where you're going! You just tripped me!" The girl shouted at her.
Already pissed Elaina just muttered a sorry not wanting any interaction to worsen the already fowl mood. But unfortunately she wasn't able to. The girl grabbed Elaina by shoulder to make her turn forcefully.
"Don't you just try to get away with this! You might have ripped my dress! " She said in loud voice.
"I'm sorry.." Elaina said in low voice not wanting to snap at her back. But the girl didn't seem satisfied.
"What's with this sorry!? Apologize to me properly! And hey... You are a member of cabinet..? She said eyeing to her badge. "Oh! Now i understand you're looking down on me just because you have a post aren't you!?"
At this comment the boiling water of Elaina finally spilled out of the container. a light crowd had already gathered up near them by now hearing all that shouting.
"Look! I'm saying I'm sorry even when the fault wasn't mine! You were walking with your smartphone in your hands you're the one who should be apologizing!" She exclaimed.
When the crowd around them began whispering at Elaina's defense the girl seeing no other choice began crying falling to her feet to gain sympathy. Some girls even came to her in order to console and ask what happened.
But Outraged by this ridiculous act of her Elaina just stormed off ignoring all the bullshit without even glancing back.
"There's a limit to everything! Why's that everyone is testing my patience!? Damn it!!
