Frustration was an understatement. Luca folded his arms across his broad chest and stared into the distance while he stood in front of the floor to ceiling window in his office.

The man had been searching for hours, trying to find anything relating to Alexa Caruso but so far there was absolutely nothing.

At this point it felt like an obsession rather than him just being interested in her but he couldn't and wouldn't give two fucks about it. How was it possible that he couldn't even find her birthday?

It was safe to say that the woman definitely had a background when it came to information technology. That was the only explanation to this impossible riddle that he was trying to solve.

Either that or she knew someone who kept her information under wraps. He narrowed his eyes at nobody in particular and felt his blood begin to boil.

In any other circumstance he would've just approached her but this situation he found himself in was tricky. There was a clear line between personal and professional. A line that he simply couldn't cross. Yet.

Luca could only use subliminal messages for so long before it became noticeable. He just couldn't stop thinking about her. To him it felt like she had sunk her nails deep into his skin and left her mark on him even though their conversations thus far had been quite short.

He needed to be smart about this. She already threatened to take the matter to HR but he knew she wouldn't. They were just empty threats for now. However, if he pushed too hard especially whilst they were both at work that threats would be anything but empty.

When Luca spotted her at Sinister he thought that it was probably a mirage, a mere illusion, tricks that his mind was playing on him but as he got closer and closer he realised the figure in front of him didn't disappear and for once the universe was on his side.

While they were at work he could easily see the shape of her voluptuous body despite her attempt to conceal it but seeing her silhouette up close and personal in that sexy outfit she wore almost sent him over the edge.

The man cleared his throat, trying to rid his mind of the impure thoughts circulating in it. The last thing he needed right now was an erection at work. It didn't help knowing that the cause of his inner turmoil was seated a few floors above him.

If Luca could, he would've walked to her office right now and what would take place once the door closed behind him would be absolutely filthy.

There was a knock on his office door that served as a brutal shove right back into reality. He slowly strolled towards the door and then opened it, revealing one of his colleagues.

Despite the fact that he could barely concentrate on a single word coming out of the woman's mouth, he pieced together information that he thought he heard her say and then concluded what the woman requested.

At the end of that conversation she asked him how long it would take for him to complete the specific task and he said "Twenty four hours should suffice."

The truth was that he could actually complete it in two hours but due to the distractions that plagued his overactive mind, he needed more time. "Thank you Luca." The woman batted her false eyelashes at him while he tried to refrain from rolling his eyes. "You're one of the best." She said flirtatiously but he only gave her a friendly smile.

She then turned around and walked away while swaying her hips from side to side. This reaction from woman wasn't new to him, it happened to him all the time but for the first time in history the woman he desperately wanted wasn't showing any interest in him.
