7- A Knight In Plain Clothing

WILL POV-

Will glanced into Mike's eyes, sweat dripped from his head, his hands where clammy and his mouth was dryer then the California desert. No words were exchanged, Will grabbed Mike by the waist pulling the raven-haired boy close, He looked up, the world stopped as time slowed. Mike's ebony eyes stared into Will's.

The shorter boy picked Mike up bridal style, not even thinking of the manner in which he was carrying Mike. Will stomped through the fire. careful not to burn the scared boy in his arms; he had only one goal:

Mike NEEDED to be safe

Will- although being a bit shorter than Mike- was decently strong, he found it easy to carry Mike and walk towards safety.

A stage light collapsed from the ceiling, Will in reflex jumped back; slowly spinning to protect Mike and leaped over the burning lights. The minutes felt like hours, he was worried, the droplets of water from the sprinklers did nothing except make the unbearable conditions even harder to see in. He could see the exit, he could see freedom, Will internally cheered as Mike held on tighter. The raven-haired boy's eyes were squeezed tight, he didn't want to admit it, but he was terrified, he had never been in a disaster of this magnitude. He was glad this mysterious individual saved him. He didn't get a proper look at his face due to the smoke that wafted in the air. He could only remember the hazel eyes of his saviour

Will strengthened his grip slightly; calming Mike. With one last leap they finally reached. They were safe. 'Mike is safe' Will sighed to himself taking a few more steps towards the cool air. The pair remained under the sprinklers, bathing in the cool showers of water.

The firefighters stormed onto the set, finally arriving to extinguish the fire at long last. They dealt with the flames, extinguishing the mighty inferno that behold them. The set crew rushed towards Will, roughly grabbing Mike from Will's arms glaring as they whisked the raven-haired boy away. They walked away from Will not caring if he had developed any injuries. The shock from the experience had still not caught up to Will. He turned around to watch the diminishing flames.

"HE'S ON FIRE" Lucas pointed running towards Will. The brown-haired boy spun in circles; he spotted that the back of his shirt was lit. The firefighters rushed over placing a fire blanket over Will. He panicked as Lucas freaked out.

Mike turned his head around to look at Will, a face of worry flushed over the raven-haired boy. Will noticed; All the adrenaline and excitement in his body had reached its precipice. His vision started to get blurry as he fell into Lucas's arms.
