Chapter 14: Story Telling

The next morning I met up with Adrianna once again for breakfast since it was my day off. I needed to tell her everything that had happened the night before. Lately it feels as if everything going on around me is surreal. A few weeks ago if I even pictured Reese and I going out to dinner together as just an absurd fantasy but, last night my fantasy became reality. The spark that I feel when I'm with Reese is undeniable at this point. I know I have been trying so hard to resist the feelings, but they are alive and well. Adrianna was always my go-to and I needed my best friend now more than ever as I continue to travel down this road of uncertainty.

"So basically my world was turned upside down last night..." I said with a chuckle eating my chocolate chip pancakes. 

"You are killing me the way you keep building this up! You texted me last night that you just had to meet up with me as soon as possible and yet I still haven't been told this glorious news!!! Tell me already!! Don't keep a girl in suspense" her eyes reflected her extreme level of curiosity. 

"Well I kissed him!!" My cheeks lit up with excitement as I saw her mouth fling open with shock. 

"What happened?!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. 

"Well I finally managed to build up the courage to ask him to hang out outside of school and he agreed to! So we went to a movie and then we headed here for dinner and dessert! I could've sworn that it was going to be THE most perfect evening" I explained to Ari as she watched me with interest.

"Going to be? You mean it wasn't? What happened?"

"Haha well my asshole of an ex came crashing in on Reese and I while we were eating our food...actually come to think of it, we didn't even get to eat..." I chuckled to myself. 

"Robbie?! What a creep! So what happened then? What did he do?" 

"Well we were just sitting there minding our own business and I could've sworn that Reese was going to tell me something and then Robbie threw a milkshake all over him! I didn't even see Robbie walk in! Reese and I were too deep into our conversation to even notice him creeping on over to our table. " 

She gasped upon hearing this. 

"Oh my god! Why the hell did he do that?!" 

"Apparently he's hung up on me and he was livid that I was out with Reese. He just started talking shit about Reese and how he's somehow manipulating me and using me and how I'm much better of with him rather than Reese. But what the fuck does he have anything to complain about?! He had me...then he cheated he had no rights to claim me as his own after doing something like that. Fuck him! I have every right to be with who I want...not that I'm even with Reese to begin with." 

"So how about the kiss? How did this kiss happen again?" Ari asked curiously.

"Well after Robbie did that Reese punched him in the face and once Robbie got back up he pulled me outside and then he tried to convince me of what a monster Reese is, but meanwhile he was just about to hit me and then my hero came rushing in and stopped him before he got the chance to hurt me and then they got in a fight! We thought Robbie was knocked out and then he punched Reese pretty hard. I was so nervous for him and I held him so close to me concerned something really bad had happened. When he woke up I looked in those eyes and I just kissed him."
