I found myself dreaming of Reese that night...
"Reese..." I said to him as he was lying on the couch watching his favorite show.
"Yeah?" he asked not moving his eyes from the television.
"Can I lay with you?"
"Mmm sure, I guess."
I got up and sat beside him. The warmth of his skin felt so close to mine. I inched myself closer and closer to him until I placed my head right on his shoulder. I sneakily managed to tie my arm with his, also intertwining our hands. The touch of his hand against mine felt so right. It felt as if I was holding the hands of my other half. I looked over at him and his beautiful dark brown pupils met mine. His eyes were a work of art that managed to captivate me beyond words. He placed his head against mine as I felt a tear touch the top of my head.
"Reese! Why are you crying?!" I asked with concern. I held him close to me hoping to lift his spirits but his tears continued to fall.
"Save me..." he said in between him trying to catch his breath.
"Save you? From what? From who?"
"Save me, please!" he exclaimed in response.
"Reese!!! I will save you! Just tell me how!" I say as I clutch him close to me.
Reese took my hand and touched my chest with it. I looked down and came to the horrifying realization to see that I am bleeding profusely.
"AHHH!!!! W-what's happening?!" I screamed out only to see that Reese was gone. I fell to the floor and saw the room began to spin until everything went black.
I woke up only to find my heart racing. What was that about? That dream seemed so lifelike. A part of me wanted to text Reese to see if he was alright, but I knew it was just a dream and it would be silly to do so. Did Reese need my help and if so...from what?
I walked downstairs to have breakfast only to find Jay sitting at the table with his Nintendo 3DS.
"Home again?" I asked annoyingly.
"Yeah! Well I figured since it was Friday and I took off yesterday that it wouldn't really pay for me to go in today since the weekend is just one day away so I figured why not just take a long weekend?!" he said with a sly grin.
"You're really something else..."
"I mean I understand your frustration that you didn't have my level of brilliance when you were in high school to think of such clever plans like me!"
"Are you sure it's not because of that fight you got into at school? How did that start again?" I asked bluntly.
"Listen it's none of your concern...all you need to know is that I totally won!"
