Reunited

5. The Plan

The beach day was really fun, California sun is so much better than anywhere else I had been. You don't get too hot and you get the perfect tan.

Kat and I tanned for the afternoon until Sam showed up with some lunch for us which was really nice. We are and started making a plan for what was to come. Planning a surprise was honestly so fun, I got more excited the more we talked about it.

It was going to be more casual than some big surprise, because I knew Colby probably only mentioned me to his close friends and I didn't want him to be uncomfortable. Hopefully he wouldn't be, I'd want him to be happy to see me even with all his friends around. But I wanted it to feel more genuine, even though it was going to be recorded.

So because I was going to move in the second week of October, right around halloween, Sam was going to plan a vlog video where he took his friends to the big costume barn that was opening soon to checkout costumes. Sam was also planning a big Halloween party at his house Halloween night, so everyone was going to need to pick out costumes.

He'd take a few people to the barn, then that night they'd just have one of their small pizza party nights and have a bonfire outside. He would vlog some stuff outside and do some sort of game around the bonfire.

Since it was going to be the month of Halloween they were going to be doing a lot of spooky videos/games, and so that would be the whole theme. At some point during the day Sam was going to mention how him and Kat were going to dress up together. He would hope that jake or Tara would agree, and then Kat would tell Colby that he should do a partner dress up this year.

One way or another Kat would bring up how she has a friend in the way over (she brought different friends over to the house all the time) that would be perfect to dress up with.

"He will try to be nice and decline but Kat will just keep pushing it. I'm sure Colby will feel really awkward about being set up with someone he doesn't even know" Sam said.

We all thought that would be hilarious, and we continued planning for the big moment.

So a while later Once the vlog was "over" and everyone was still chilling outside, Kat would announce that here friend was here and said she'd bring her back to meet everyone. Hopefully Colby would still be out there and wait to meet her just to be nice, then a minute later I would walk in.

It wasn't anything extravagant, but it was perfect. By the time everything was set up I honestly was over the moon. I couldn't wait.

We all went into the water for a bit and then I took a few pictures of Sam and Kat which turned out cute, then we all tanned and dried off before heading down to Santa Monica pier. Kat said it was something I had to see.

While we were there Kat, Sam and I took a lot of pictures, I took some of them and they took some of me. Kat said these were all going into the video that she was putting together.

Once I surprised Colby, We'd all sit and watch the already made video of all the days leading up to that day surprising him. All the filming I did at home, some vlogs of Kat talking about me coming, us meeting at the airport, us running into Sam and Colby at the grove, apartment shopping, my vlogs of the moving process, actually moving out here, everything.

This was all so surreal, I was having the most fun I had ever had in my life, and it was only going to get better from there.

We spent a while at the pier, I got some cute pictures of me on the Ferris wheel, then We walked around to some of the shops and I bought some stuff to bring back to my family. We ended up going out to eat for a small meal before I parted ways with Kat and Sam.
