We walked back to his car then, both of us were starving and talking about that Mexican restaurant that Corey had recommended.

I ended up getting the directions up on my phone, but telling Colby directions was a struggle. Just like me he was bad with directions, and we ended up taking like 5 wrong turns. But we both were laughing at ourselves the whole time.

We finally got there, and I realized it was a lot fancier/laid back than I thought. Everyone was super nice though and greeted us and brought us to a table outside that looked over a Mountain View, it was beautiful.

The waitress greeted us with a happy smile and a pitcher of water as she introduced herself. She asked us how our day was going, which we replied to as great.

"Awesome" the waitress replied, "you guys just out for a nice lunch date?"

I was caught off guard and looked over at Colby, feeling a little awkward because I thought I should have just said no.

"Yeah something like that" Colby told her, and immediately looked down at the menu with a shy smirk.

I felt my heart skip as I watched him, my brain trying to comprehend what he said.

"Alright awesome" the waitress said, "well I'll let you too look over the menus and I'll get back to you in a bit."

We both thanked her, and once she walked away I looked back at Colby who was slowly peering up at me, the same shy smile was on his face.

"So" he said softly before clearing his throat, "what looks good on the menu?"

He was making it obvious that he was changing the subject, and I couldn't help but smirk at him as my cheeks blazed. I couldn't say anything, I just slowly looked away from him and down at my menu.

We both ordered, and we began to make small talk and joke around after a while. When we got our food I was in awe, it all looked and smelled so good. Colby had ordered us both a Mamossa with our meals, which I thanked him for. The food was so good.

When it was time to get the bill Colby once again grabbed it, and I gave him a look. He smiled and grabbed out his wallet.

"Hey this will be paying for those photos" he said.

"I told you I didn't want to get anything for them" I whined, and he sat forward over the table to look closely at me.

"Hey, those photos are probably worth a few hundred bucks alone, I'm buying your lunch."

I just stared at him with the same frustrated expression, and he had a playful smile on his face. Finally I huffed and once again said "okay fine."

Colby seemed satisfied and sat back with a shrug.

"Plus, if we are calling this a date, I wouldn't let you pay anyways."

He turned toward the waitress with a smirk and handed her the bill book as she walked up, then his eyes came right back to mine. This was getting to be too much, but in a good way. I couldn't believe how obvious we were both being.

I rolled my eyes as I began to smile at him, acting a little less surprised this time as I licked my lips and nodded.
"Alright you got me there."

His smirk turned into a smile, and we both just sat and looked at each other for a while. I think we were both trying to understand the vibes we were giving off and trying to make sure we were on the same page.

My heart was racing fast as I melted under his gaze, I noticed he was looking at me differently than he had been. I could see it in his eyes. I knew I was looking at him a bit different too.
