Can I keep your bear?
Penelope Fearthington was around sixteen when she met Colin Bridgerton. The boy intrigued her interest when she had accidentally knocked him into a table that had a bowl of water, which didn't end well. As Colin was soaked from the water she had knocked him into. Most people would've yelled at her, called her a clumsy person, an idiot, even.
But he didn't. Colin laughed. And from there she had fallen in love with the boy.
That was about a year ago. Penelope was now sixteen, turning seventeen in a few days, and was very close with Colin. The two had been in his room, messing around with the other.
"Colin, if you throw that at me, I will throw something back," Penelope smiled as Colin had a bear in his hands, ready to throw towards her.
"Hm, I think I can accept that," Colin replies when he throws the bear at her.
Penelope follows on her threat and grabs a pillow to throw at him.
Colin catches it though, and Penelope frowned.
Penelope grabs the bear and hugs it closer to her.
"Can I keep your bear, Col?" Penelope asks.
"No! Absolutely not!" Colin replies.
"Why?" Penelope frowned again.
"Because you need something so you can cuddle with here. Other then me," Colin smiled.
Penelope couldn't help the smile that formed on her face either.
"Good save," Penelope replied.
"I know," Colin smiled as Penelope threw the bear at him.
"How dare you treat our child like that," Colin gasps.
"You threw them five minutes ago! Hypocrite!" Penelope replied.
"M'kay, remember that," Colin smirked.

Can I keep you for the night?
Colin almost never came to Penelope's house because her mom was not the best person in the world. But he did tonight.
"I haven't been in your room in awhile, it's different," Colin says once they enter her room.
"It's actually clean, unlike yours," Penelope fired at him
"Oh, you bitch," Colin chuckles
Penelope smiles at him as she fell back on her bed, Colin following her action.
"Can you believe you're gonna be a senior?" Colin asked her.
"Nope, but it's happening." Penelope smiled back, "it's gonna be weird without you, you know."
"I'm not looking forward to it either. But you have Eloise still," Colin replied.
"Eloise isn't you though, and you know that," Penelope says.
The two still hadn't completely figured out the feelings they had for each other but they know they were there.
Colin smiled as he slightly sat up to lean closer, over Penelope. He moved the hair that was in her face to the side as he looked at her.
"Can I kiss you?" Colin asks, Penelope simply nodded.
It was the first time that both of them had fully understood what the other was feeling. The deep connection the two had with each other was already strong, but this kiss was what finally brought them to their senses.
