After a while of driving you could see buildings over the horizon. The sign saying "Welcome to Nevada Central!" could be seen aswell. Driving for two more minutes you reached the city limits.
"So... what are you going to tell Doc?" you asked. "About what." Hank said. "You know, not getting the pieces." you responded. "Tell him that things didn't go according to his plan. He will get pissy about it, yell at me for not 'doing the job'. You get the easy way out kid." Hank said. "Doc is always so precise about things." you added.
"That son of a bitch always is." he said. You chuckled a bit at what he said. Than looking down at the Engineer mask you inspected it again. "Wonder what I'm going to do with it?" you thought.
After a little longer of driving you finally made it to the headquarters. Hank slowed down the car and parked it. He than opened his door and you got out. Stepping outside the car you stretched. "Aw jeez! I feel like a pretzel!" you said. You than followed Hank into the building. The two guards saluted you and gave a "Welcome back, Mr./Mrs. (L/N)!"
You just waved at them awkwardly and continued inside. Upon walking in you saw Bossman sleeping at the desk, while some people waited in the lobby. "Come on kid let's go." Hank said. You just gave a nod and followed Hank. You followed Hank with mask in hand. Upon making it the ramp you looked out the window.
Seeing people walk and cars drive by. Wondering how anyone could live in Nevada. "Why is Nevada so different from the rest of the world?" you thought. Everything about this place made you think even more. Getting out of thought you catched up to Hank. The two guards standing gaurd saluted you like the ones outside. Upon entering the hub area you saw Doc, observing the workers on the computes. His back was facing you and he didn't seem to hear the door open.
"Alright, everything seems to be going well." Doc said. "I'll be back later to check up on things." he added. "Yes sir!" a worker said. Doc than started to walk towards the Dormitory. "We're back." Hank said. Doc stopped and turned around. Both men with red goggles stared at each other for what felt like a eternity. "You're back quite early." Doc said. He readjusted his vest and walked towards you. "Did you get what I asked for?" Doc asked. "No, The Sheriff was their. Probably doing a factory inspection." Hank said.
"Why did that stop you? You killed him before." Doc asked. "God damn Agency dropped in. Full of A.T.P.s and a Half-MAG. Plus they would have rallied up more." Hank said. Doc just seemed to nod his. "I see..." Doc said. "You did the right thing Hank." Doc said. You stood there confused expecting Doc to chew Hanks ass. He seemed pretty calm. "Well than, (Y/N) are you ready to up the training?" Doc asked.
"What?" you asked. "Are you ready to begin fighting tougher enemies in the Sleepwalker?" Doc asked. You stood there for a moment. "Sure, I guess?" you said. "Excellent, I will get it prepared." Doc said. "Come with me." he added.
Doc started to make his way towards the medical area. Hank gestured for you to follow Doc. You started to follow him into the Medbay. Doc started to descend the ramp into the gymnasium. As you passed by Skinner he waved at you. "Have a malpractice free day!" he said. You didn't know what to say so you just waved.
Descending down the ramp aswell, you entered the gymnasium. Doc was tampering with the Sleepwalker Chamber. He took out a cassette tape and put a new one in. "Alright, it should be ready." Doc said. You slowly made your way towards the Sleepwalker Chamber. The door opened and you were about to jump in but Doc stopped you. "Hold on, what is with the Engineer mask?" Doc asked. "I thought it would be cool to have it. I-If I need to get rid of it-" before you could finish Doc cut you off.
"No don't worry about it. Here give it to me. I'll give it some upgrades." Doc said. You looked at Doc and gave him a confused look. "Like what?" you asked. "Just wait and see." Doc said. "Now than, shall we begin?" he asked.
"I'm ready. Let's do this!" you said.
You handed him the mask and hopped into the Chamber. The door started to hiss as it closed. You shut your eyes and started to fade off...
Walking into the familiar room, you looked around. Nothing changed since the last time you where here. "Welcome back Subject 1v02P-" you cut off the Engineer behind the glass. "Yeah yeah. Let's go!" you said. You pressed the button and primed the 1911A1. "Now serving wave 2." a voice said. Instead of a VR Buddy spawning... a man walked out the of door to your right. The man was bald and just had a grey smock on. He looked around and than at you. "Let's go!" he yelled. The man started to run at you.
"What the hell is going on!" you said. This was just a man, a random man. Not knowing what to do you ran at him. You kicked them to the ground, you than stomped onto their torso. Their ribcage and other organs flew out. Blood splattered onto the ground and you. You felt sick to your stomach and wanted to vomit. Even though it was a simulation you killed someone. It felt all to real.
Another door opened and another man looking exactly the same looked at you. He started to run slowly at you and you shot them. The shot killed them instantly. Another one came out of the door and ran at you. You punched them in the throat and kicked them in the knee caps. They just let out a grunt, you than punched them in the chest. This killed them as blood flew out of them.
A door opened and you turned around. Your heart stopped.
Someone with sun glasses and a suit came out, holding a revolver. It was a Agent from the A.A.H.W.. The Agent looked around scanning the area. "Target located." they said.
