"I know you'll come. I've been gladly waiting for you." Finn welcomed sarcastically with a false smile when he opened the door to see his usual antagonist.
Jethro's teeth grated as his anger rose the more. He wished he could just wrap a palm on the boy's neck and strangle him out.
"Come in, or you're scared?" Finn laughed when Jethro would just stand rigidly in front of him.
"I'm scared you might lose some blood if I step in." Jethro fired, his body shaking with the vehemence of his voice.
"Oh, you throwing a fight?" Finn chuckled and then pushed the door wide open, "Then, in you come. Emma is away. So, you better be prepared to get a thorough beating."
Jethro sprang at Finn after those derogatory words and the door slammed behind them. Both boys crashed against a sofa and soon were rolling in ragged breathing.
"What the heck did you tell her on phone?" Jethro howled as he sat over the struggling Finn.
Finn found a way to push him off and then he could muster a smile, "Crazy that's what brought you here." He snorted under a heavy breath.
"You answer my question or I.." Jethro was coming back forcefully on him again and he quickly staggered up from the floor to evade the attack.
" Who are you to question whatever I do to Ava?" Finn said when his breathing steadied a bit.
"And who are you to call her and say shitty words?" Jethro fired back, moving closer to Finn, who responsively, took some steps backward. He had not fully recovered from the latest attack yet.
Finn licked a crooked smile on his lip and then shook his head in some disbelief, " I wouldn't doubt your insanity yunno, you love a girl more than you love yourself." He sneered.
Jethro gave an instant scoff at the statement, knowing well what the boy was hinting at, "The pictures you sent to your friends right? Do you think I'll be mad at that? I never scrubbed your toilet and I won't fight for a lie."
"Same thing," Finn nodded mockingly and wrapped his arms across his chest, "You could fight for a girl but not for a lie told against you."
Jethro puffed out warm air on hearing him and he knew he shouldn't be having such a conversation with a jerk like Finn, "What did you tell Ava on the phone yesterday?" He demanded, going back to what had brought him here.
"Shitty words as you have said." Finn crooned annoyingly.
"Are you..." Jethro yelled and then paused, his breath too hot to allow words to be articulated, "Do you know whatever nonsense you told her caused her to do?" He said when he had cooled down a little.
"I don't care." Was the only thing Finn shrugged.
"Such heartless bull! You don't care that she attempted suicide after the shit you said to her!" Jethro shrieked in his fury and he saw a shocking flash through Finn's eyes when he mentioned the word suicide. The boy's face fell in regret before he quickly put on a bold front.
"I still don't care." He pretended, but with a voice that failed him.
Jethro fell quiet for the next couple of seconds, staring coldly into the boy's wavering eyes, "Honestly, I wonder how she chose you as a friend. You never deserved her."
"And she never deserved me too!" Finn flared in the same minute, his voice quavering in a mix of ruefulness and anger.
"I think she deserves someone tons better than you." Jethro returned in a slamming voice which made Finn chuckle bitterly.
