Asterin smiled to herself as she looked around the now empty rooms. Finally, she'd sold the house, and they were moving to a smaller place out in Sussex. She was really looking forward to it, and with Draco going to train as a Healer, it was perfect for the two of them.
"You ready?" Draco appeared beside her, lacing his fingers with hers.
Asterin nodded. "More than ready."
Draco smiled, kissing her temple. "Ok, time to take down the rest of the wards."
The two made their way outside to the front door, standing in the foyer and took down the rest of the wards protecting the house and the inhabitants, the bare walls staring back at them as they looked around.
"I never realised how big it was until it was just me here."
"You're not going to miss it?"
"No. Besides, we've more than enough space in the new house."
Draco smiled softly at her, "we do. And we get to make our own memories there."
Asterin leaned into his side, a content smile on her face. "Shall we go?"
"Ok."
And with that, the two of them disapparated, appearing in their new front garden in a matter of seconds. The furniture they'd decided to keep had been sent ahead and had been waiting for their arrival in the truck left in their driveway. The two looked up at their new house, excitement bubbling up inside them."I still can't quite believe it."
"What?" Draco squeezed her hand.
"It's ours. I'm still almost in shock." She smiled at him. "I love you. So, so much."
He smiled back. "I love you so so much too. Come on, we've got all of that to move in."
The two of them got to work, levitating the furniture into their new home, finding space for nearly everything.
"I have a question," Draco spoke up as they were taking a tea break.
"Oh yeah? What's that, then?" Asterin asked, sipping her tea, perched on their kitchen counter.
"Do we have to have separate studies?"
She frowned slightly, "explain that?"
"Well, yeah, ok, we could have our own spaces because I agree that it's important, but we don't have to only be in there. Like, would you mind if I joined you in your study or studio, or whatever you want to call it?"
Asterin smiled softly, "I wouldn't mind."
Draco smiled. "Are you finally going to admit that you'd like to be an artist?"
She laughed, "not just yet. Let me relax a little and settle into our new home, and then, maybe I will decide to become an artist."
"It's progress, at least."
"Come on, we should probably at least make the bed so we have somewhere to sleep tonight," she jumped down, stretching a little and placing her empty mug in the sink.
Doing the same, Draco led the way out and up the stairs to their bedroom. They hadn't done all that much with the furniture besides putting it in the rooms, so it was sort of all over the place in no particular order, with one night stand in the middle of the room and the other under the window and the bed blocking the doorway to the bathroom.
"I never thought moving hose would be so exhausting," Asterin took a deep breath.
"Hey, how about you make a couple of sandwiches and I'll get this done? Then we'll eat and just relax in bed for the rest of the day." Draco smiled at her.
