That Day (WangXian)

Chapter 5

I was having a hard time opening my eyes but I heard people talking well more like arguing so I forced myself to open them and see what's happening.

The first thing I saw was a white ceiling and the voices became more clear, I looked around and saw everyone was there while my mother and father were shouting at them and calling them idiots. I saw Lan Zhan kneeling next to me while holding my hand, I shook my hand off his even though I liked the warmth and now it feels empty. "Wei Ying" he said it so softly and so full of love that it's hard to believe that he would actually agree to this stupid plan. When he said my name this got everyone's attention to me so I tried to sit up, he was about to help me but I shook him off and mother helped me,

"What happened?" I asked, my throat a bit dry which he noticed and got me a glass of water which I accepted with a nod.

"You fainted" mother said

"How long?"

"A day" he said while my mother glared at him

"You be quiet! It's all because of you and those idiots this happened"

"Mother" I said almost like a whisper

"No it's true. If it wasn't for them you wouldn't be laying in a hospital bed right now!" She shouted while the others had their head down.

"I forgive them" I said which made them all look at shock at me

"What?!" Mother said

"I will forgive them but not Lan Wangji." I said and they all looked shocked as I have never said his full name before, "I'm not angry at them but disappointed especially at him so he has to earn it. Those guys I understand there idiots but him. I'm surprised how he was so easily swayed and just ignored everything." I said trying to control my anger and I saw how my words hurt him. I saw how he regretted it and how his eyes became red with tears threatening to fall off. Suddenly he went to his knees,

"I will definitely earn your forgiveness Wei Ying. I will wait for for the day that you forgive me and accept me again." he said so with so much determination that you wouldn't believe it's the same block of stone talking. I just looked away and said

"I would like to rest please can everyone leave now" I said and I could tell they were reluctant to leave. "I'm sure you heard doctors saying 'don't stress out the patients' and with all of you here I'm getting stressed out" I said and that made them leave quickly but only Lan Zhan and my parents stayed.

"Why are you still here?" Father asked

"I want to be here for Wei Ying. I was an idiot and I want to rectify my mistakes as I said before so I will stay" he said, his eyes never leaving mine.

"Even if we tell you to leave you won't will you," it wasn't a question but a statement and by Lan Zhan nodding my parents sighed

"If you ever hurt him again then you will never see him again." Mother said with a warning and scolding tone which Lan Zhan immediately agreed

"I will never hurt him again unknowingly or knowingly" he said and my parents nodded before sitting down on the sofa as the chair was occupied by that idiot

"You guys can go I'll be fine, I'm just going to go sleep" I said

"No we're staying. If your stubborn just remember who you get it from" mother said

"You are stubborn" father said unconsciously

"What did you say?" Mother said with a raised eyebrow

"Nothing just saying how much I love you" father said nervously rubbing the back of his head. I chuckled and just let it be because I know they won't leave me alone.

Few days later...

My parents left reluctantly for a business trip so Lan Zhan has been staying with me in my new house. He has done a lot of things for me and it was hard to ignore him as he would always look like a wounded puppy but I wanted to punish him and what works best then the silent treatment.

But today I decided to talk to him. It's time to know exactly what was going on in his head on and why he agreed to that stupid plan. "Lan Zhan" I called his name after so long that he looked like a happy puppy that finally got noticed by his owner. His eyes sparkled and he came quickly to me,

"Yes Wei Ying" he said happily and slightly smiling, so cute.

"Why?" I asked and he looked confused, "why did you agree?" He sighed and sat down opposite me,

"Honestly I have no legitimate excuse. I wasn't going to agree to it at first but then they kept pressuring me and I was an idiot to listen to them. I don't know why I did that. Maybe it was because of the thought of having you in my arms sooner rather than later was better and I was just so blinded by the idea of making you mine that I agreed and disregarded how you would actually feel. And I know it sounds bad but I just wanted to call you mine, I wanted to tell everyone that Wei Wuxian, Wei Ying is now mine no one else's and that I'm his. If you want time I will give you it but please don't leave me. As I said before I will wait for you, no matter how long it takes and I know it will take longer now because I'm idiot. I shouldn't have listened to them and I'm not blaming them because it was my own mistake and my own selfish desires. I'm sorry Wei Ying. Please give me another chance and I promise you that you won't regret it. I will give you my all and I will never let you feel sad again. If I do then you can do whatever you want with me and I will comply with no objections unless it's leaving you because I'm too selfish to do that. I know I don't deserve you after everything I've done but I will make it up to you even if I spend my whole life doing it" he said and I didn't even realise I was crying till he wiped my eyes and gave me a soft kiss on both my eyes and forehead. He held my hands then said softly, "I never want to see you cry again and I will do whatever it takes to make sure you will always smile that beautiful smile of yours forever"

"I'm so sorry Lan Zhan please forgive me too" I said while hugging him and burying my face in his chest.

"What for? You did nothing wrong, everything that happened was my fault." He said while drawing circles on my back

"I slept with people every night not just Mianmian" I said still hiding my face

"People as in both men and women" he said with a hint of pain

"Only women. I couldn't bring myself to sleep with any other man except you. I always say I'm Bi but truth is your the only guy who can ever make me feel like this, who I feel comfortable to giving my all."

"Same with you. I can only love you no one else. If you slept with women in the past that's fine but I'm going to be the last person you sleep with as you will be for me. My first and last love. I love you so much and I'm so sorry for everything" he said moving my head so I was facing him

"I forgive you. I already did when I saw how much you regretted it and literally begged for me to talk to you" I said with a little chuckle

"Only for you" he said and kissed me tenderly and lovingly. This was our first kiss. Hopefully the first of many more.
