Sierra

Sierra was going to Archery class, and she didn't know if she'd be terrific at it, or terrible.

She saw Will Solace at the archery range. "Oh, come on! Not you again!"

Will scowled. "The feeling's mutual, Red."

Sierra laughed. "That's the best you got? You are a disgrace in the art of name-calling."

"Hmph. Well, let's see who's laughing after you try out archery." Will had a smug look. Sierra stuck her tongue out at him.

Will showed the class, which was about 15 people, how to hold a bow and fire arrows demonstrating with wooden arrows.

Sierra wasn't that good, but she wasn't horrible at archery.

"You just need to practice." Will insisted.

Sierra shot him a glare. "Like that's gonna happen. I prefer to fight with my body. Hands, fists, legs, that's what I'm good at."

"That's not gonna help you in a monster attack." Will argued. "You need a weapon, like a sword or knife. Strenght with fists and kicks is useless here."

Sierra was well aware of the rest of the class watching her smart talk her superiors, but after that insult, Sierra definitely was not backing down to Will.

"Shoot an arrow, as hard as you can, to that left target." Sierra ordered to Will.

Will did it. He shot her a smug look again.

Sierra walked towards the target. Will's arrow was stuck in the middle. She pulled it out in two seconds flat. Will looked baffled.

"Strength is useless, hm?" Sierra asked innocently. "What if this was your last arrow, stuck inside a monster? If there were more monsters, you'd be toast."

Will looked speechless. Sierra snapped the arrow in half, and Will just looked embarrassed. Several others in the class were trying to do it, too. But when they couldn't, they stared at Sierra with wide eyes and gaping jaws.

"I'm a lot stronger than you think, Solace." Sierra snarled. And in one very powerful back kick, the target got smashed to splinters.

Will was annoyed, furious, and embarrassed. But he managed to speak. "Class dismissed." He sounded like he was trying not to curse.

The rest of the class left, Sierra stayed behind. Sierra knew that what she was doing was completely insane, but she was not gonna back down.

"Never, ever, ever, tell me my skills are useless." Sierra warned.

Will gave a defeated sigh. "Ok. I'm sorry."

"Good." Sierra spoke with satisfaction in her tone. "Besides, Annabeth designed a weapon that'll work better for me than any sword or knife."

"What weapon?" There was no offense in Will's tone, just curiosity.

"Celestial bronze and Imperial gold plated gloves and boots." Sierra told him.

"Wow. I am impressed." Will admitted. "But what about defense?"

"Annabeth took care of that, too." Sierra said. "She got me two special shields to use with the gloves."

"That's nice." Will said.

"Thank you." Should i tell him about my vision? She wondered.
