Sierra

Sierra's sleep was just a sea of swirling darkness. She felt like she was sinking into it. Instead of trying resist, Sierra let herself be lulled into the deathly silent calm demeanor of the darkness.

Then she felt a searing pain in her chest. Sierra felt like she was being forcefully and instantaneously dragged out of the darkness.

Sierra sat up and gasped for breath. I can breathe again!

Will, Annabeth, and Reyna were all standing near her. Sierra looked around and saw she was in a bed in the infirmary. Will looked relieved. Sierra noticed there was a defibrillator nearby.

"Thank the gods." He said.

"You could say that again." Annabeth looked just as relieved.

"Thank the-"

"Don't." Reyna shot him a -_- look.

"What happened?" Will asked Sierra.

"All I remember is that hellhound attacking me and I woke up." Sierra rubbed her temples. "When I woke up, I couldn't breathe. It was so scary." Sierra shuddered, and it was genuine.

"Your pulse was beating so fast it nearly stopped." Will told her.

Sierra was silent for a moment. "Will, can i speak to Annabeth and Reyna for a minute?"

"Okay." Will still looked worried, but he left.

"And now for what really happened." Sierra said. "I had another vision."

"What was it?" Annabeth asked.

Well, my dear father, do i have your esteemed and justified permission to tell her? Sierra was being a bit dramatic with the request, but she didn't care.

Only the first vision. Not the second.

Thank you.

"I learned who the new demigods parent is." Sierra answered. "Hecate."

"Interesting..." Annabeth pondered.

Reyna looked skeptical. "Why didn't you pull out of that vision sooner? You almost died, and I'm assuming it has something to do with your powers."

Sierra involuntarily flinched.

"Sierra." Annabeth said. "It's ok. You can tell us."

Sierra glared at the roof and spoke aloud. "Apollo, I'm going to tell them. I don't care if you told me not to. I don't care what you do. But if you ordered me not to tell, it must be important."

Sierra heard Apollo curse in frustration in her mind.

Reyna and Annabeth looked like they would laugh.

"So, in my vision, there was a girl in a pitch-black room. She looked like she was in pain. Then, blood started to flood into the dark room, and the girl was drowning. Then i heard a last shriek of agony before i pulled out."

As soon as the words came out of her mouth, Sierra felt inbearable and complete agony. She fell to her knees. The pain felt like Sierra's organs were being ripped and torn out of her body. Sierra couldn't speak.

A booming voice sounded in her head.

You have been warned, Sierra. Because this was not important, i will let your disobedience slide. But next time, this pain will kill you.

"And there's the tough love aspect of my amazing father-daughter relationship." Sierra grumbled. "THAT...REALLY...HURT."

"Here, let me help." Annabeth helped Sierra to her feet. "What was that?"

"My dad punishing me for that little spoiler alert." She rasped.

"Ouch." Reyna winced.

"Reyna, something's been nagging at the back of my mind for a while now." Sierra said. "Why have you and Nico had "complications"? You both obviously care for each other."

Annabeth looked a bit awkward. "I think there's something i have to do...someplace..." She speedwalked away.

"I suppose i owe you an explanation." Reyna sighed. "After the war, Camp Jupiter was thrown into disarray. As one of its leaders, i had to return. Nico had to stay here. I told him as much as it breaks my heart, i couldn't be with him, as my first loyalty was to Camp Jupiter, not him. When you first met us at Central Park, that was the first time Nico and I had spoken in about 2 months."

"Ouch back at you." Sierra raised an eyebrow. "Why haven't you two spoken yet?"

"I'm too nervous." Reyna confessed. "And i think Nico is scared that i will reject him again. He hasn't had the best life ever. I don't want to break his heart more than i already have." Reyna lowered her head in shame.

Sierra face palmed. "You've got to be kidding me, Reyna."

"Excuse me?"

"Are you really so dense to actually believe that?!" Sierra spoke in disbelief. "Reyna, you are breaking his heart even more by keeping your distance."

"Really?" Reyna asked.

"Go out there and apologize." Sierra pointed at the door. "Now."

"But-"

"Twenty bucks says he forgives you." Sierra challenged.

"What?"

"Go. Stop arguing." Sierra squinted.

Reyna sighed, but then she walked out of the infirmary. Sierra followed at a distance.

Reyna walked up to Nico. He looked a bit miffed and sad.

She threw her arms around Nico in a tight hug. "I'm so sorry, Nico." Sierra definitely saw tears in Reyna's eyes.

Nico looked shocked at the hug, but he returned it. "I forgive you, Reyna."

"I have spent 2 months living in shame and regret of what i did to you." Reyna confessed. She kissed him. Nico kissed her back.

Sierra smiled. They deserved to be together, to be happy.
