Sumaya
Three hours.
It had been three hours, and Sierra was nowhere in sight.
Sitting in her cabin, riddled with hopelessness, Sumaya didn't want to believe that she was dead. But deep down, she knew the truth.
I need to find her body. I need to avenge her. She's depending on me.
Sumaya ran into the woods.
------------------------------------------
After what had felt like hours treading through the dark forest, Sumaya approached a ginormous rock towering over the trees.
She spotted a pool of blood, seeping slowly from a broken form.
Sierra's body was sprawled over the rocks at the bottom of the large rock.
Her body was twisted at a sickening angle.Repulsed, Sumaya looked away. Is a human body supposed to twist like that? I don't think it's supposed to twist like that.
Sumaya swallowed down the urge to vomit as she looked at her best friend's corpse again. There was a knife, stabbed clearly into her stomach.
Jasmine's knife! Sumaya thought angrily. But that's not what killed her... She pulled it out of her friend.
Sumaya heard faint sobbing. She whirled around to see Jasmine, curled up, lying on the roots of a dying tree.
"Jasmine?" Sumaya hid the knife.
"She was right." Jasmine spoke softly.
"Who? And about what?"
"Why did I do this?" Jasmine sounded lost and devastated. "She was my friend..."
"Jasmine." Her sister looked up. "Let me help you up." Sumaya held up her hand.
Jasmine took it weakly. Sumaya pulled her onto her feet.
"I'm sorry." Sumaya said.
She whipped out the knife, quick as lightning, and stabbed it into her sister.
She had aimed well. Blood gushed out of the stab to her heart.
Jasmine fell to the ground. "I... I will...rot... In Punishment...for eternity...because of...what... I've...done.... But you...will...go to.... Elysium..."
"Yes." Sumaya choked back the tears.
"Then... I accept...my punishment..." Her head fell back limply, and her eyes glazed over.
As soon as her sister passed, Sumaya fell to the ground in tears.
My best friend got murdered, and i murdered my sister, all in one day.
At least the camp is safe.
Sure, it's safe. But you will never be the same again. This has changed you.
For the better? Or the worse?
You just murdered Jasmine!! How does that make you change for the better??
We reap what we sow, don't we?
She murdered 6 people! She deserved it!
No. I'm thinking as she was at the moment. That's what drove her insane. The blame.
Jasmine wasn't willing to own up to what she had done, and decided to blame the people she murdered, saying they brought it on themselves.
I will be better than she was. I'll learn from her mistakes.
There's blame to share. Jasmine may have brought her fate upon herself, but the people she killed didn't. And you did kill Jasmine. You cannot run or hide from this truth.
"So i won't." Sumaya said aloud.
THE END
First and foremost, I'm sorry if I ruined your life with this story. Or if i killed your favorite characters.
Just to clear this up, I will not be writing a sequel. Unless you guys REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY want me to. But even then, it's still a slim chance I'll actually write one.
This chapter is dedicated to my friend Brazil_Lizette. Happy birthday! (sorry for ruining your life with this story)
