"Welcome to The Jive, Estelle." Tristan said with a wide grin on his face.
The Jive place is not what I expected. Everything feels like a real club, they have LED light, laser light, a DJ in the back of the warehouse, a makeshift bar on one far of the room, there's are few booth and stand up table, and right in the center is the dance floor where everyone is already dancing and have drinks in their hands.
"Wow." I said, looking around, once again.
"Yup. Take it, all in." Kaden said, taking a deep breath. "Welp that's enough for me, I'm going to dance floor. Anyone want to join?"
Everyone followed Kaden to the dance floor, except for Mateo who went to the bar getting a drink already. And Tyler standing beside me.
"So, what you wanna do first?" he asked looking around at the place. "Dancing? Or get something from the bar?"
I turn to him, giving a look. "You know I'm right of age for drinking."
"he chuckle. " They have other drinks beside alcohol. They have food here too if you're hungry."
I took a moment ti think. Do I want to go on the dance floor and 'practice' my dancing? Or do I want to at the bar to sit and relax for bit and then hit the dance floor.
"Let's relax first. I needed to take breather after everything I been through the last week."
"Okay, then." he said, leading us to a booth. And soon after a girl came over and hands us a menu of they severed here. The girl must be in her early thirty and she has black bob hair and dark brown eyes and is about 5'7 tall.
"I'll have mini taco and chicken tender and a cherry Pepsi." I said, giving her the menu back.
"And you, sir?" she asked Tyler.
"I'll have a cheese burger with fries and a Cola." he said, with smile and hand her back the menu.
"All right, they'll be out shortly." she gave us a polite smile before walking away.
"SO, how's school going?" Tyler asked
"It's going good. Not much to say beside the boring thing."
"Heard anything from your dad, at all?"
I shake my head, "No. Not since Mack told me so far."
"Everything will be better after everything blows over soon." he give me a sad smile.
"Promise?"
"Promise!" I hopes, so, I thought to myself, as I looked around the room.

After finishing our food, a little awhile ago, we been sitting here talking and watching everyone having a good time.
Nyla and Rylee is dancing to the music, Jordan bounces around wildly, and the guys are dancing with some girls and Mateo is still at the bar, but is talking to some girl.
"Do you want to dance?" Tyler asked, looking at me.
I turn to the dance floor, seeing all the everyone dancing to their beat of the music and no one is paying attention on how they dancing. So I shouldn't be embarrassed on how bad my dancing skilled are, right?
"Sure." I said, taking a leap with a little fear.
Tyler take my hand in his and lead us to the dance floor. I put my hands on his shoulders and he put his hands on on my hips. And we started swaying tot he beat.
I looked into Tyler beautiful green eyes, getting lost in them as they look a little bight with lights. He pulled me a little closer to him, wrapping his arms around me and I wrapped my arms around his neck.
but then I remember something from earlier today.
Speaking loud over the music for he can hear me. "Hey... what was it that you wanted to tell me?"
"What do you mean?" he asked, confused a little.
"Before the stadium job. You said you wanted to get something off your chest."
"Oh, yeah! I, uh... can't remember today has been a blur." for a second I believed him, but for some reason it feels like he seems distracted by it. It's probably nothing that important. Or is it? Maybe he was worried that the mission will fail and wanted to say something about it, before we gotten interrupted.
"What's going on with you tonight?" I asked, little worried about it.
"You ever feel like things are... almost perfect, but not quite? And you know you should be happy and in the moment, but you can't stop thinking that something's wrong?" so he's think something wrong going to happen during the next step of this mission. He shouldn't be worried, everyone got each other back if they wanted to get out this deal with Night Skull for good, because I have faith in them. Even if I have a tiny little bit that maybe something will wrong, but they always quick thinker to know what to do in a situation.
"You can't sweat the small stuff."
"I didn't say it was small stuff."
"Life will never be perfect, Tyler we have to enjoy the here and now." and that's what I'm going to do lived everything, the good and the bad.
"Hard to disagree with that when I've got you in my arms." he smiled. I run my fingers through his soft hair, whiling looking into his eyes.
"Stop thinking about it. Better yet, stop thinking altogether." I smiled.
Tyler leaned down a little where our lips are just few inches away from each other. It's been a while since I felt though lip against mine, and that was probably few days ago.
I went ahead, closing the distance. Our lips collided. His lip still feel soft and gentle as I remember the first time we shared a kiss. But this time we're in the middle of dance floor of a club with everyone around us, and you know what, I don't care if they see us, because all I wanted is to be in this moment with him, with no worries and just having fun before something happened next.
Tyler kissed me like he can't breathe without me. Finally, he pulls back and gazed into my eyes, brushing the hair from my forehead.
"This can't be right. I'm not this lucky in life." he said, leaning his forehead against mine and having his eye closed.
"You deserve everything you want, Tyler." I said, with my heart breaking a little for him more, how he went through everything in life. He really does deserved everything he wanted in life, the good things.
"All I want is right now is you."
Tyler hold onto me against his chest and I can hear his heartbeat and breathing. I wish we can stay like this for a little while longer.

We all left the club close to six in the morning as the sun is coming up. We got back to the garage some of us is a little bit out of it from drinking, but getting sober and the other is just tired from staying up all night, after a long day of yesterday.
"Don't know about you all, but I'm going to take a very long nap." Jordan said, with a tired look on her face.
"I'm right behind you, on that." I said, trying to hold back a yawned.
Jack holds the door open for us. "You know, you're not so bad, Estelle." he said, with a smiled.
"You're still pretty awful, Jack."
"Thanks, I try."
"Well, I'm going to bed. I'll see you, guys later." I said, waving and walking to the stair to the apartment.
When I got to my room feeling utterly drain and ready to hit the sack. Once I lay my head on the pillow I'm out like a light. For the next few hours.
Waking up to couple of hours later, which feels like five or ten minutes of sleep when I hears a loud crash from downstairs. Being curious to what it might be I went down there to see what the ruckus is.
In the garage all I see is toolboxes and equipment scattered everywhere. Following the debris to find... Tyler and Mateo pummeling each other.
"Guys! Stop!" Tristan yelling at them.
"That's enough!" Kaden said, try to break them apart, but couldn't. and they both ignore them, consumed by anger.
"Lying... son-of-a..." Tyler said, with anger. And throwing a punch to Mateo face, but missed by an inch.
""I'm not gonna... let you... ruin this far for us!" Mateo said, matching Tyler anger. Mateo manages to throw Tyler hard into the of a car, then charges him to a punch.
Tyler deftly ducks and socks Mateo in the jaw.
Now, I'm getting anger and worried when they'll hurt each more that will landed them to the trip to a hospital.
"Will you two stop it already?" I yelled over them for they can hear me over their punches. At the sound of my voice. They both pause with frozen mid-fight, still grappling with each other.
Tyler locks eyes with me and he's looks shock to see me here.
"Estelle... Estelle, wait." he said, letting go of Mateo and standing up. Mateo straightens his jacket.
"What is this?" I said opening my arms out to the mess. "Is this about me?"
"Yes." Tyler flat out say it, not meeting my eyes.
"What is wrong with you two? Everything was fine all night!" Rylee said, with disappointment in her voice; like a mother is disappointed in her kids for doing something wrong. But they ignore her.
"You're out of control, Tyler." Mateo said, anger. And his face is getting a little red. For a second I thought any minutes he'll be popping a vein soon with this much anger.
"No, you're the one who's out of control. And you've put us all in danger." Tyler took a dangerous step close to Mateo. And I thought they'll go at it again. "You owe Estelle the truth!" the truth? Truth about, what? I wonder to myself.
Mateo mood changed instantly, one second he all angry and now he looks calm, relax with a smile on his lips.
"You really wanna go there? Don't you think you're the one who owes Estelle the truth." say Mateo, with a devil smirk. And once he said that, he look on Tyler face is shocked. And starts to drains of colors.
Mateo continue talking. "Don't you think she deserves to know how you tricked her?"
Tricked me?" I asked, confused to know what's going here. Mateo wipes the blood from his lip and shakes his head in disgust.
He turn to me with a blank expression. "haven't you ever asked yourself about how you met Tyler that day? Why a guy like him would even look twice at a girl like you?" Ouch, he didn't haven't to make it harsh by saying it like that about me and other girls out there who can't find their better half.
"I don't understand. Tyler, what is he saying?" I looked over to him, but he not looking at me, only the ground.
"He knew. The whole time. He knew your dad was the cop investigating us. The entire reason he even spoke to you was because my father told him to." my blood runs cold. I feel tears of anger and hurt welling up in my eyes.
I shake my head, "No."
"I mean, come on! Who do you think called the cops on that house party? He did it so you'd owe him! So you'd trust him!"
"Tyler? Please tell me this isn't true..." he didn't say anything so, I went on. But with anger. "You can't, can you?"
He finally meet my eyes.
"No... I can't." he said, feeling sorry.
"You... were using me? From the beginning?" I'm trying best to hold back the tears as they try to pour out.
"I didn't know it's turn out this way."
"How did you think it would turn out?" I yelled a little than I intended to. Which cause Saul to come out of the office and he's looking furious. He glares at his son, Mateo.
"You told her?" he said, his face a bit red.
"About time somebody did." Mateo said.
"Hold on... When we found out about Estelle's father, after the mall job... you already knew?" Rylee speak up and is disappointed by all this.
"Yes." Saul said, a few second later.
"I was totally in the dark too, Estelle! Don't blame us!" Jordan said, shocked, like the rest of them except the people who knew about all this.
"How could you, Tyler? How could you hide this from me?" I said, looking at him again with disappointment ans hurtfulness in my eyes.
I wrap my arms around your waist, as if to protect myself from the heartache crashing over me. It's like I'm reliving the hurtfulness all over again with dad weeks ago. Is this how betrayal felt like from someone lying or keeping secret from you. If so I don't wan this feeling anymore, I want it to go away.
"I don't know what I can tell you to make this right." Tyler said with hurtful voice and I can see it in his eyes too.
"Yeah. I don't know what you could say either."
Jack this this funny and I hear Rylee saying she going to shut his mouth or she going to do it, but permanently. And she warning him and is getting mad at this second. So Jack's laughing gnaws at me.
"I can't... I can't do this." I said, trying to catch my breath.
Feeling ashamed, I run out of the garage because I don't want to hear anymore of this.
"Estelle! Your car--" I hear Tristan calls out to me.
"I don't want anything you people gave me." I said angry and out the garage door.
Once I'm out the door I walked down the street not really knowing where to go. But the sun is bright so it's either the afternoon, or in the late afternoon.
As I'm walking I thought I heard someone calls out to me, but ignore it and kept walking, until I hear it again.
"Estelle, wait.!" I turn to see Tyler running up to me. "Let me explain--"
"And, why should I believe a word of your 'explain'?" I yelled at him. And I could feel my cheek burning a little from anger. "You've done nothing but lies to me from day one!"
"I didn't know you back then. I didn't care about you. You were just a random stranger, someone the crew could use." I can't believe he say that about me, after everything I went through. What we went through and he thought i was some random strange that he didn't car. When I did nothing but helped him all this time. That what he think of me.
"I was nobody to you." I said, as my voice start to break.
"You were. But once I actually got to know you... At some point, it all stopped being pretend."
"I wish I could believe you..." but didn't. Tyler run his hand through his hair.
"Let me be honest for once. Whether you believe me or not... whether you forgive me or not... please at least let me explain." he plead with his eyes. Taking a few second think of this, that I decided to hear him out. What he have to say and it better to the truth.
I nodded, "Fine."
He let go a breath like he been holding it all this time.
"Okay." he took another breath before start talking again. "We got a tip that the C.P.D. investigation was being handed over to this big-shot detective. Saul paid some people off. We got his name."
"My dad."
"Yeah. When Saul found out, he was kinda shook, your dad's no slouch. He's put a few people Saul knew behind bars. He wanted an edge, blackmail, anything... So he dug into his personal life."
"And he found me."
"Your name, picture... where you go to school. I told him I knew Jayson. That's when he had the idea."
"So you were what? Sent to seduce me."
"No, to earn your trust."
"Was it Saul's idea to call the cops on the party?"
"No... That was mine.I told the cops there was a big drug deal going down, so they'd come down hard. I knew if we shared a secret, just the two of us... something you couldn't tell your dad... you'd start to trust me."
"Did you fell anything that night? Or was that a lie?" last night was amazing spending time with him, especially when I'm falling hard for him, even from the moment I met him. But none of matter I guess, if it was a ll lie.
"Of course I did, Estelle. How could I not?"
"Was it guilt, then?"
"No... not guilt. When I was with you, I forgot about everything. About the crew, about your dad. I was just... happy.
"I'm so stupid. How could this have turned out any different? You're criminal!" never would have I ever thought to say those word to him, when I never really consider him like one, even when he did all those things. "I should've known. I should've known someone like you could never care about someone like me. It was only ever about my dad."
"That's not true--"
"All those time you were asking about my Dad. You were pumping me for information?" thinking back at all those time when I go met with them before I left home, he was always asking about dad if he knew anything about them or if he's on their track. When I was covering them up for he does get to close to them. Because I cared about them if something happen to them, they started to be my friends when I wanted to get out of the home or when I have no one to hangout when my other friends are busy with their life and I don;t want to bother them too much, like I usually do, so I wanted to give them break before I become a burned to them.
"I was asking for your help to stay out of prison--"
"You still can;t be honest with me, huh?" I shake my head and scoffed a little.
"Okay, yes, I was trying to keep us one step ahead of your dad. But the moment you told me you're dad's new partner knew, I told you to go home. I was trying to protect you. I knew you shouldn't be here."
"You were right. I should've of left." I took a deep breath before continuing. "But you still should have come clean to me then, instead of just ignoring me or yelling at me."
"I know. But I was afraid of--"
"Of what?"
"Of this! Of what's happening right now!" Tyler take a step closer to me, but I took a step back. Keeping a safe distance from him.
"This has been killing me forever. I kept trying to find a way to tell you."
"This is what you wanted to get off your chest? Right before the stadium job?"
"Yes. Estelle, please. Yes, things started out as a lie." for a second I thought I might of seen a tears in his eyes, unless I'm just seeing things. But then his mood change a little. Instead of sad, he's put a small smile on his face. "But the crew? You're one of us now.even Saul believes it. They cares about you. Jordan, Tristan, Kaden, Rylee... hell, even Nyla. I care about you. And I'm... I'm sorry."
"How do you expect me to believe that?"
"I barely believe it myself. I can barely believe that some girl I just met takes over my every waking thought. I can't believe that, every time I look at you, I feel like the luckiest bastard on the planet. I can't believe I love someone."Oh no, he can't say that he love me after what he have done to me that costed everything to lose someone that was so important me, to lose their trust and lied to them in their face. He just jut say those word to me, just can't.
"Don't say that, Tyler. Please don't say that now just to get me to change my mind--" I feel a tear run down my cheeks as I look away from him and up to the sky.
"I'm saying it now because I think this is the last time I'm ever gonna see you. And if I don't say it, I'll regret it the rest of my life. So, I'm not trying to stop you from leaving. I'm just asking you believe me when I say I never wanted to hurt you."
"But you did hurt me. It doesn't matter if you didn't want to hurt me, Tyler. What matters is that you didn't care."
"You're right. I didn't. But I do now."
"Too little, too late. Anything else to say for yourself?" Tyler stares at me for a long beat. "Well?"
"I keep thinking there's gotta be something I can say to take it all back, the right combination of words. But there's not, is there?"
I shake my head. "No. There's not." I turn away from him and walked down the street. Away from him. And away from this place.
Glancing back to see that Tyler is still standing where I left and just watching as I go.
It's been twenty minutes, but it felt like hours since I been walking and I shouldn't be complaining that much but I am. Since it about three hour walk from here to Mack's house.
I know I should call her up to ask for a ride, but I want to clear my head, with everything swirling around and giving a headache and second now, if I keep thinking about it.
I'm by the a auto warehouse taking a mini break when hearing a loud honk. Turning around to see that it's my car turning into the parking lot. Looking through the window I see someone in the driver seat. It's Mateo. What does he want, now?
"Estelle, get in the car." Mateo yelled when he rolled the window down.
"Leave me alone." I said glaring at him. I don't know how many time I have to tell someone to leave-me-alone/ can't they get that through theirs thick skull.
"Come on. Let me drive you somewhere. It's your car."
"Not anymore. I don't want anything from you people. Ever again."
Mateo, now getting upset. "Hey, we didn't all lie to you like Tyler."
"Yeah, because you care so much about me, humiliating me in front of everyone."
"If you're gonna yell at me at least do it up close from the comfort of the car." Mateo took a deep breath to calm himself little. "Beside... you'll definitely regret letting your pride win next time you're ridding a bus to school." joke on him, because I can get a ride from Mack. If her family let me stay for a while until I figure what to do next. I mentally sigh, wishing I could stand up the courage to call dad and talked everything out. But will he even answer my calls or text, after the things I did and said? I won't know until I built up the courage and right now, I don't have.
I rolled my eyes and gave in. Opening the passenger door and get in.
After settling in, putting on the seat0belt, Mateo reversed the car out of the parking lot and start driving on the road.
"So, where am I taking you? Home?" he said, focusing on the road.
When he said that word, it's boiled my blood and anger me.
Turning to him and giving my best deadly glare at him. "I don't really have much of a home left, thanks to you and the crew." Mateo just gives me a look until I finally relent and gave him the address to Mack's house.
During the drive is nothing but silence and awkward, with nothing to say to each other. I just looked out the window on the way there. That is until Mateo broke silence.
"Look, you have every right to be pissed at me. That's definitely not how I wanted to tell you. But I hate knowing how that asshole was using you." Mateo soften up a little, but still focus on the road.
So, I went a little easier on him. "Mateo... How long have you known?" I wanted to know, even if I don't like the answer to that question.
"Dad didn't tell me until after one of the job. He didn't tell me about anything at all until he had no other choice but to trust me. What was I supposed to do, knowing Tyler was using you, knowing I wasn't supposed to say anything? It was eating me up inside, and I just...snapped."
"Don't pretend you did any of this for my sake. That whole fight was about your little pissing contest with Tyler." I looked away from him and stare straight ahead. "I was just caught in the crossfire."
Mateo chuckled under his breath. "The crossfire... of a pissing contest?"
"This isn't funny, Mateo."
When we turn around the corner, I know that we're on Mack's street and soon in front of her house. Mateo park the car on the curb, and shutting the engine off. Then he turn to me giving me a serious look.
"You deserve so much more than Tyler, Estelle." he said, looking into my eyes.
"And who give me that? You?" I asked, not breaking the eye contact.
"Hell yeah I can. The rest of the crew, they're not like us. They're just scraping by. But the two of us?" he took breath and closing his eyes for a second before opening them again. "We put our brains together, you and me could run this whole town." he put a smile on his face. And then lean a little closer.
"Mateo..." I put my head down little. Now he having feeling for me. But I don't feel the same way. Or do I? I don't know, with everything going on my head is not in the right place right now. So, I'll just have to let him down gently with hurting him and causing more messes in my life then there already is.
Before I can say anything, he spoke up.
"All I'm saying is... You belong with someone who knows how much you're capable of."
"That's a nice fantasy, Mateo. But it's just a fantasy. It's time I get back to the real world. I need to clean up the mess I've made of my life."
"Yeah... I get that."
I sigh. "I wish... Well, it doesn't matter what I wish." Mateo reaches over to cup his hand on my cheek, and I lean into his touch.
"It does to me." He barely whisper it.
"It won't do us any good to talk about that now."
"I've never been interested in doing any good." Taking moment to stay like this before getting out of the car.
I moved out of his touch and got out of the car. Mateo follows after and hand me the car key.
"Take the car, will ya? Jordan's will never forgive me if I didn't make you keep it."
"How will you get back." it about three hours walk to get back to the garage.
"Don't worry about me." he smile that it looks fake and don't want me to worried about him. I nod.
Mateo put his hands in his pockets, rocking the back on his heels.
"See you around, Mateo. Maybe." Mateo nod.
I watch him go, his back fading further and further into the distance until he's gone. I stand there a few second before, finally walking up the front door of Mack's house.
I knocked on the door, waited for two minutes until Mack open the open, with a surprised looked on her face.
"Estelle? What are you doing here? Are you okay?" Mack started asking question and speaking a little fast, cause her voice to make a high pitch.
I started to nod, but then shake my head, before Mack pull me into a hug and then all the tears I try to hold back, all break loose as I sobbed on to her.
After standing there for more than five minutes, Mack pull back a little to look at me. And right now, I look like a mess; my hair hair is unbrush, wearing the same clothes from yesterday and I probably look dead because I didn't wiped the makeup off my face before falling asleep a few hours ago and feel gross too since I didn't shower either.
"Okay, let go in and you can tell me, what's wrong." she said, putting an arm around my shoulder leading us to her room.
When we got to the safety of her room, I told her everything and I mean everything, after meeting Tyler and some of the thing I do as their business they be doing and even the deal that Saul made with some gang.
By the time I'm done talking, there's were no more tear coming down. I lay down on her bed while she was sitting on the edge of her bed listening to be like a true friend she is.
"I don't know what to say beside 'sorry'." she said, giving me sad eyes.
"Yeah." is all I said.
"What you going to do? Where you going to stay?"
I sit up laying against her headboard. "I was hoping if I can stay here for a while. Until I figure when to fix things with dad. If that alright with you and your family?" I said, not looking her but my hands in my lap.
"You know your welcome here. Mom and dad won't care, but they probably wanted to know why, those."
"I kind figure." I sigh. "I could partly tell the truth about what going on between dad and I and leave all the important details out."
She nod. "Yeah, they'll go for it."
Looking up at her, seeing her there for me, letting stay here. I felt like a horrible friend, because I never asked how she doing or what going on in her life, while she sitting here and listening to my problem and the messes I be causing for the last few month, since meeting Tyler.
"How you been? What's been going in your life?" I asked, trying to put a smile on my face.
"Well... about a week ago Jayson asked me to go to prom with him." she said, blushing and fidgeting with her hands.
"What!" I said, surprised and also happy that she not going alone to prom and will have someone by her side.
"Yeah, I know." she push a strand of hair behind her ear. "I didn't aspect him to ask me. But he did."
I asked her to tell how he did asked her. And she say it wasn't that big of proposal, only that he left left a puzzle in her locker asking her to go with him. It maybe be a big deal to her, but to me it is that he try to put so much effort to find away to her.
When been talking for a while before I start to feel tired again, since it felt like I didn't get much sleep for the last few hours. So Mack letting me rest more in her room while she go downstairs watch one of her favorite show with her grandparents that she gotten into lately, it;s a buzzfeedd unsolved mystery. It about two people trying to solved a mystery that been unsolved and try to find theory what might have happened in their own option. It's a great show, she gotten me into about a year ago. So whenever we hangout we always watch it and guess what might happen, too.
After she left the room, I lay my head on the pillow and curled up in her blanket before finally falling asleep that second time.
I wake later that day, or should I say night because when I open my eyes, everything looks dark. Reaching for my phone on the bedside table I see that's it almost seven at night. I felt the whole afternoon.
Sitting up straight in bed, I look around the room, forgetting that I was not at the apartment, but at Mack;s house. For a second I forgot why I was here, until I remember what happen hours ago.
Before getting out the bed, my phone ringed in my hand. Looking down to see that Skye is calling. And set a wave of panic in me. Did she found out who are Chicago Shadow Crew and arrested them. For second I really didn't want happened to them, for what they put me through with all the lies and doing their dirty job with them. But then I feel a little guilty for not caring. I hate this feeling, why do I have to feel like this.
I answer the phone, before it went voicemail.
"Hey kiddo. Just wanted to give you some good news. we identified a member of the Night Skull." Skye said on the other side of the phone.
"You did." I said in surprised by that new. This mean they closer to putting the rest of the member away for good. And it also mean that Tyler and the crew will be freed of them and don't have to worried by them anymore. When they get this person.
"Unfortunately, she's in hiding, but we're on the hunt. Nobody can run forever. You don't sound all that thrilled. Is everything okay?" She asked, sounded worried, like any mother would be about their child.
"I'm... surviving." I said, try not to worried her and also tell her to much what was going on. "Have you... seen my dad lately?"
"Yeah, I see him around the bullpen. He asked me to check up on you. I told him you were staying at a friend's. Are you?"
"Yeah." I kind of lied but technically am not since, now I be staying with Mack. Which I need to make sure, or I'll be sleeping in the car. Should made a backup plan if this doesn't worked out.
"Okay, good. Listen, he's not doing too hot, Estelle. You should think about going back home. Talked things out, before it's it's too late. I know changed can be scary but you need to embrace it and over come"I know you can over come it once you moved past that fear of change. I believe in you, kid."
"I'm not ready to face him yet." after keeping something from me. And I know change can be scary but I hate it, just that he didn't tell me the truth and kept between him and them. That hurt me the most.
"Well, when you're ready... he's waiting." I wanted to asked her if that true, but I couldn't get the word out. "I'll check on you again soon, alright?"
"Skye, wait... if you see my dad again, tell him I love him."
"I will. But he wants to hear it from you, Estelle."
"I know." I said, hanging the phone up. Biting my lip, I went to my contact list scrolling down until I reach one person that I'm debating on whether to call him or not. Just staring at dad number trying to worked up the courage to call.
Just pull the bandage off, I told myself.
When I'm about to hit the call button, Mack walked into the room, turning the light on.
"Oh, you're up. I was just coming to tell you dinner is ready." she said coming into the room more. "I talked to mom and dad, about you staying here for a while."
"What they say?" I asked little worried what the answer might be.
"They say you can stay as long as you needed. Until you let things cool down and talk it out."
"Thanks you."
"No, probs." she smiled and gives my shoulder a little push. "Now come on. Let's eat before the little brat take everything and there none left for us."
"Okay." I said, getting out of bed. And followed out to the kitchen as everyone filling up their plate. Mack's grandmother made tamales. It's my second favorite food. But it torture it make, since it's takes all day to make them. I'm surprised I didn't smelled when I came over here, because usually I knew the second I smelled them I know what she making.
Throughout dinner no one asked what was going on between dad and I. and I'm thinking Mack must told them I'm not in the mood talking about it, just yet. But will tell when I feel like it and I;m glade for that. We only talked about other things, like; what episode that Mack and her grandparents watched on unsolved mystery. And then the twin started telling their day. They went to a birthday party at one of their classmate house, telling what they have and did. They had so much fun over there, hanging out with there friends the whole day.
After dinner everyone went to the living room sitting around watching a comedy movie, while Mack's parent are cleaning the dishes before joining us.
It's a little after nine, the twin went to bed half an hour ago while the rest of us stayed up a little watching a movie before going to bed.
Mack made a make shift bed with a sleeping bag and couple of blankets and an extra blanket to sleep with and a pillow right nest to her bed.
"Are you sure, you don't want to take my bed? I don't mind." she asked after making a bed.
"Yeah, it's fine." I said, putting my hair up into a ponytail.
"Alright." she got up and sat on the edge of her bed. I sat on the blanket bed and plug my phone to the charger.
Mack made a sound, looking up to her, her face looks like she just remember something. "What's wrong? You forgot something?" I asked.
"When you left from there. Did you bring your stuff with you?"
Fudge. "No. Forgot to get them. I was in a hurried to get away from them." I sigh. "I'll just wear this tomorrow."
"You can borrow mine for now. Until we pick some clothes from your house tomorrow."
I nod. "Thanks."
After that Mack turn the lights off and climb in bed, saying goodnight. And I lay down having my back toward her and saying goodnight in return.
With in second I fallen asleep.
