When we finally got back to the shop everyone is talking about me and I'm just sitting on the hood of Tyler car listening to talk with my head down staring at my hands in my laps.
"Look, that's not all the girl's dad's a freakin' legend for detecting a two drug bust within two days." Nyla said, looking it up on her phone. It's true that Dad solved the case two years ago. And the major award him with a medal in his honor and I was there supporting him and taken a picture with which it was the cover of the newspaper the next morning. "Saul, we have a cop's daughter hanging around here with us. Who's know what she told him what about us. She could have them come here any second."
I still have my head down up I lift my eyes and see that Tyler is watching me, probably wanted to see if I'm okay and honestly, I don't know if I'm with everything that's is going on right. Like for one I went behind my Dad back by helping them out and two, well, I don't know, I can only think of one so far.
As I get tired of hearing them still talking about me, I got to defend and start saying, "Look I'm no different from you, guys. You keep stuff from me, like you might keep some stuff from the other. And I was afraid that you're going to judge me just because I have Dad that a cop, I get enough that from school," I got off the car ready to leave this place. I feel like I'm having another argument with Kendra again. "I'm gonna go."
"Lighten up, you, guys. She right, you know. And she she risk a lot by not ratting us out to her dad, she could of but she didn't." Tyler said, defending me which it puts a little smile on my face. And it's made my heart flutter.
"So, what now? Let the girl go and make sure, she doesn't say about any of this?" Nyla says, looking around the crew and not me.
"No, she stays." Saul says, speaking up, since Tyler and I got here.
"What?" everyone say at the same time.
"Boss-"
"I say, she stays. No question, ask." Saul says to Tyler, who doesn't want me to Be a part of their crew.
After that Saul went to his office while the rest of the crew standing around until Jordan perk up and I'm glad she did, because I don't want to stand here in this awkward silence with them.
"Well, since she is going to around why don't we hook her up with her own set of wheel when she get her license." Jordan says, getting everyone's attention.
"Yeah. What you got?" Rylee says, agreeing with Jordan.
"I have three cars you can choose." Jordan say, walking to the other side of the shop. "Okay the first one is a black 2002 Honda car. Second one, is a red 2010 ford mustang. And the last one is a white 2003 Nissan Maxima A33 car." as I look at the three cars, I mean I like them all but one stick out to me. But I went over what they say about each and one of them until I know what car I want.
"I pick the whit Nissan." I say, looking back at Jordan.
"Then it's all yours, enjoy it." Jordan says before going back to work on what she was doing before we got back. And after she did everyone go on and did their own thing so, it's just me and Tyler is standing here. I look at the car with a goofy smile on my face. I can't believe I have my own car.
"How does it feel to have your every own car." Tyler say standing by me now and looking at me in the corner of his eyes.
"It's surreal. I can't believe it's mine." I turn to him and now us staring at each other.
"Just think you're one step closer to driving it after you ace your road test." I nodded, he went around to the driver side of the car and open it the door. "Hop in, get a feel."
