The beast roared as it was in the air, shaking its head back and forth as seagulls flew from the lines. Jacob cried out in fear as he grabbed onto a nearby line, other crew members falling off the ship as it was almost completely in the air.

Members struggled to stay on board, clinging to whatever they could before the beast slammed its sharp chin into the boat's main deck, sending the ship jolting in the other direction. A crew member cried out as he fell, crashing into the ocean as the beast's appendage rose from the waves to wrap around the Inevitable.

Suddenly, tendrils appeared from the water, splitting into claw-like appendages as they picked archers up from the shrouds. Crow clung to a nearby piece of rope, gathering what happened as he looked up, seeing a tendril right about to grab him.

He swiftly spun around, dodging the tentacle before pulling his sword out and slicing the appendage as ink-like blood flowed out of it. Suddenly, Crow was sent back once more, before being picked up by the tentacle, the Captain crying out.

Sharpe stood not too far from him, dodging and slicing whatever tentacles came into her vicinity. The woman then pulled her pistol out from her side, firing a few shots before tossing it over her back. She then stabbed another tentacle, pulling out another two pistols before firing.

Jacob pulled himself up onto the mast as the ship continued to tilt sideways, watching in horror and worry for his crewmates as they called out his name for help. Everywhere he looked, the Brickleback's appendages had his friends in its grasp.

He frowned, deciding to do something about it. He pulled himself up to his feet, running towards the crow's nest while pulling his sword out. Quickly, he sliced a net that held three buoys, the floats landing in the water. The crew member that was in the water quickly grabbed the item.

Jacob ran across a nearby piece of rope that was strung across two masts, jumping before cleanly slicing a tentacle that held an archer down. As she struggled to stand up, the light brown-haired man's eyes widened as he heard screaming and the sound of squashed bagpipes following.

Jacob looked down, spotting a spear by his foot. Quickly, he picked the weapon up with his foot, catching it with his hand as he fired the weapon at the tentacle while grunting. The tentacle dropped Piper, the musician screaming as he fell before he collapsed into Jacob's arms.

The hunter struggled to lift Piper up, the two looking at one another before Jacob looked down, seeing the Brickleback staring at him. Piper let out a scared toot from his bagpipe, Jacob starting to run as the Brickleback's jaws clamped down on the ship's mast.

Jacob continued to jump down and away from the beast's jaws as he carried the musician. Captain Crow below him continued to fight the tentacles with his sword. The older hunter looked up to see Jacob dashing across the ship as a tendril chased after him, almost hitting him out of the air before Jacob jumped.

Piper let out another struggled note as the two fell onto the ship's torn sail, cushioning their fall before Jacob's head popped up. The male grabbed onto a nearby piece of rope, pulling himself out before landing on the tilted deck.
