Logan stared at Charles and I sitting across from us on the plane. I see Charles messing around with something in his pocket but focus my attention on Logan. "The X-Men. Promise me you'll find us. Use your power, the both of you. Bring us together. Guide us. Lead us. Storm. Scott. Jean. Remember those names. There are many of us. We will need you, Professor. We need you too, Golden Flare." Charles blinked running a hand through his hair replying. "I'll - we'll do our best." Logan nodded our direction. "Your best is enough. Trust me." Resting a hand on my stomach I blurted out a question I needed an answer to if it became our future. "Our baby...was he or she...before the war...how were they?" Logan intertwined his hands together with a sigh. "Let's just say you did a good job raising that child...I just wish...she didn't have to die." Nodding my head Charles rests his freehand over mine on my stomach with a weak glance. Entering the grounds behind the white house Charles searched for Raven but doesn't find her. Glancing around my eyes locked onto the President of the United States walking up to a podium.

"My fellow Americans, today...we face the greatest threat in our history. Mutants. We have prepared for this threat. In the immoral words of Robert Oppenheimer, Behold...the world will never be the same again." The American flag tarp fell from behind him revealing robotic machines. Looking to Logan I can see his body stiffened at what was before us. The machines looked like they were made of metal but if the government knew about Erik they wouldn't be stupid enough to create them from it. Charles suddenly grabbed my arm where my attention focused on the mind he found. "This is for you, brothers and sisters." Hearing Raven's voice he pointed with his right hand telling the boys. "There. See. Secret Service man. Left on the stage go." They both moved through the crowd until the machines started powering on. The crowd around us started cheering. "Raven, please listen to me. We've been given a second chance to define who we are. Don't do this." Charles spoke to his sister through his mind until I try tugging his arm fearing that those things will start attacking any minute. "Uh Charles. We have a problem..."

The machines suddenly started firing which made him release Raven. Crowds of people screaming and running away to avoid getting killed. Whipping my head around in a panic Charles screamed to the boys. "Erik!..." There was no doubt it was him. So the government was stupid enough to make them in metal. Hank and Logan jumped out of the way. One of the sentinels started firing at me until I lift my hands up shoving it away before it could hit me or Charles. Staring up into the sky Erik was hovering a whole stadium above us. I immediately started running until I twisted my ankle falling onto the ground. Whipping my head around I noticed Charles was still stuck there when I cried out for him. "Charles!" He tipped the wheelchair over doing his best to not get crushed when the stadium was dropped. The fog clears where I see the whole white house is trapped inside the stadium meaning that the police couldn't get inside to try and stop Erik or Raven from killing anyone.

Hank transformed into his blue beast form so he and Logan could deal with the machines. Logan tried to attack Erik but he wrapped him in metal throwing him somewhere out of the stadium. Forcing myself to my feet I hobbled over to Erik who went searching for where the president was. Throwing my hands out in front of me I launched a bunch of chairs towards him. One managed to hit him in the head where he turned around. "You can't beat me this time, Aurora. These people will kill you and your child." Clutching my hands into fists I noticed he was wearing his old helmet from Shaw meaning that Charles and I were useless to stop him with our minds. Hopping up towards him I used my power against him by launching more objects his way. "Killing the president will only make them fear us more. You'll just be starting the war whether you believe it or not. Just stop all this - oh god!" My knees give away when pain shoots through my stomach. Bending my head between suckling in a sharp breath in horror I felt water between my legs. "Aurora - what's wrong- urgh!" Charles grunts entering my mind. He's still trapped underneath the rubble as I started crying in fear. "Charles - the baby's coming!"

Short chapter in my opinion but I wanted a cliff hanger
