Mike's house

El's POV:

Max just explained to me everything that had happened while I was gone. She finally remembered me. I was happy she remembered me but now we were going to mikes house so I can explain everything and remind him. We got ready and headed to the Wheelers house which was a couple blocks away from Max's house.

To clarify something: my parents aren't bad ppl. They are very loving parents. But when we fight they show their mean side. They aren't usually like this. Yeah I just wanted to say that.

We arrive at the Wheelers house and Mikes mom lets us in. I remember this house so well. I remember sleeping in the basement and Mike feeding me leftover Eggos and food. We all go down to the basement and I gasp as I see the little place that mike built me was still there, he hadn't torn it down. Max then looks at me and asks "what is it babe? Is something wrong?" I don't answer cuz I was in shock that the little place I slept in looked the same as it did when I left. I ran over to the place and I was in awe.

I know it isn't much for some ppl and they might say 'I'm overreacting' but this means so much to me. It makes me feel like Mike actually waited for me. "El what's wrong?" I heard Mike say. I look at him and I say "can you try and remember me mike? Do you remember this place you built? Who was it for?" He had an confused look on his face "uh I built it when a girl we found in the woods was secretly living here. She used to eat eggos and left over food-" I interrupted him "and eggos were her favorite. And still are 'till this day. She never stopped thinking about you, Dustin and Lucas. She wanted to move back to Hawkins but she couldn't. She knew she moved away cuz it was for her friends' own good. It was hard for her but she had to accept it soon enough. And then she moved back to Hawkins not so long ago and is now standing in her best friend's basement but he doesn't recognize her." I blurted out tears rolling down my face.

Mike stood there in shock as what I had said sunk in. After a few seconds he realized I've been talking about myself the whole time. He runs over to me and hugs me tight "I've missed you so much, I never gave up on you...well not until recently. I kept that bed hoping that one day you'll come back."

MIKES POV:
There she was. El. Standing right in front of me. I couldn't hold in my tears anymore and I cried silent sobs. I finally reunited with my best friend. I turn to Will and give him a smile as I slowly start to remember him too. "Gosh I've missed you both so much" I said while tears still rolling down my face. "I'm glad you remember us" I heard el say before she pulled everyone into a hug. But we were shortly interrupted by Nancy walking down the basement stairs. She stood there in shock. We all knew she was eavesdropping on our whole conversation. El then spoke up "hi Nancy. Long time no see." She smiled and ran over to hug Nancy. "Is it really you El?" I heard Nancy say "it is really me. I finally moved back" el replied "we missed you" Nancy said again "I did too."  My mom then walked down the stairs too. She was also eavesdropping. She was confused cuz she had only seen el once.

El: "do we have to stay here? Can we go to starcourt?"

Max:"I'm down"

Mike:"sure"

Will:"okay let's go"
