Family dinner

~TIME SKIP~

~A few years later~

Max and Eleven have graduated high school and are living in the same house alone. They are now 20 years old. Well Eleven is 20 Max is 21 since she's older then El in 9 months. Max was in her and El's room getting ready to go to Hopper and Joyce's house for a family dinner. After they finished getting ready they got in their car and drove to El's parents house.

10 mins later they arrived. They get out the car and knock on the wooden door three times before the door swung open by a familiar face. It was Will! El flew into his arms followed by Max. They haven't seen each other for a few months so they were happy to be all reunited again.

"Alright kids that's enough hugging we want our hugs too" Hopper joked as he got out the kitchen and walked over to the door. Eleven laughed as she flew into her parents' arms hugging them tightly. Maybe too tightly. "El...I need to breathe" Joyce said gasping for air "sorry I was just too excited to see you all" El said.

El glanced over at Max who was kinda jealous since she had no family to hug like that and be happy to see like El and her parents were. Joyce and Hopped noticed the look on her face and knew what was going on in Max's mind. They pulled Max into their arms too. Max flinched a little but accepted the hug happy that she feels loved. She might've teared up a little cuz she was emotional. Eleven saw the tears in Max's eyes "hey, love, are you okay?" Eleven asked her in a concerned tone.

Max smiled and nodded. El might've read her mind as well, 'I'm just happy that I feel loved since I've never felt loved in my whole life' she thought knowing that El was reading her mind so the message was directed towards El. El nodded and turned her attention to her parents "so can we come in or are you just gonna keep us outside in the freezing cold?" El asked in a sassy voice which made Max chuckle. She had been teaching El how to be sassy and turns out her hard work might've finally paid off.

El's parents let them in and they went to the living room where El's aunt (Joyce's sister) was sitting on the couch with her 2 months old in her hand. El suddenly gasps making Max get startled at the sudden gasping.

"Auntie Jo!" El said in excitement "hey there sweetie. How are you?" Her aunt asked her "I'm doing amazing. How are you and baby Hazel?" El asked walking over the lady sitting on the couch with a baby in her hands "me and Hazel are doing great", "can I hold her? Please?" El begged her aunt giving puppy eyes that are too hard to resist "yes of course you can. Here be careful she's still really fragile" the aunt said while putting the baby in El's arms. "Oh My God she's adorable" Eleven said while gasping slightly.

Max walked over and greeted the mysterious woman that she has never seen before. She sat next to El and looked at the baby. She had Hazel eyes and her hair looked a little red which made Max a little happy to see another person/baby with red hair. "She really is adorable. She's the cutest" Max said. Max wasn't such a baby's person since she found them an annoying little human being that cried all the time. El was surprised by Max's comment since she knew her girlfriends doesn't like babies at all.

Hopper and Joyce sat across from the couch on the nice and comfortable chairs. "El, Max, we need to talk to you two" said Joyce in a serious tone. El tried to read Joyce's mind but was shortly distracted by a voice "El don't use your powers on me" her mom said knowing El was about to read her mind since she does a very weird but serious face when she's trying to read minds. "Sorry" Eleven said. "Anyways so your dad, your aunt and I are going out of town for a while for work. So your aunt and I were wondering if you and Max would be willing to take care of Hazel until we come back. We know you two want to have kids soon so this could be like an experiment to see if you could really handle having kids" Joyce said.

Eleven looked excited since she loved kids but she was worried Max would say no. "Give us a second to talk plz" El said while pulling Max into her room that surprisingly still looked the same after years. "You know you don't have to accept right Max? Don't pressure yourself into doing something you hate because I love it" Eleven said trying to convince Max she doesn't have to do it "this may seem surprising but I am actually really excited to take care of Hazel since she's the most adorable human being on earth. Of course other than you" said Max which caught El by surprise "okay so you accept taking care of Hazel for God knows how long?" El asked excitedly "what do you think? Of course. Come on let's go tell them" said Max.

She grabbed El's hand and taking her back downstairs "okay it's settled we'd love to take her in and take care of her for as long as you want" , "great. Can you two take her when you guys want to leave?" Asked Joyce "yes of course we can" Max answered sounding extremely excited.

They all chat together and have a nice dinner but soon it was time for Max and El to go back home with Hazel. "Thank you for agreeing to take her in" El's aunt thanked them "it's really no problem. We are more than happy to have this baby to ourselves until you three come back" Max reassured her "bye guys I'm gonna miss you so much" Eleven hugged them sounding like she was a about to cry, and she was "aww sweetheart don't cry it's okay we won't be gone for too long" Joyce said trying to calm down her now crying daughter "wait where's Will gonna go?" Eleven asked confused "he said he'll go to Mike's house" Hopper said "oh okay. We should get going now. Bye guys have a safe trip" Eleven said while grabbing Max who's holding the baby's carrier. They leave and head home.
