MAXS POV:
I walk back inside and find el on the floor crying quietly. I run over to her quickly and ask her what's wrong. She looks me deep in the eye and without any warning she kisses me. I was shocked but didn't resist to kiss her back passionately. She pulls away and smiles. "Do you...like me?" I ask. She looks at me and nods. I smile as I pull her into another kiss but this time it is was longer and deeper. When we break the kiss I look her in the eye and inhale deeply before speaking up "I like you too" I say. She smiled and speaks up "will you be my girlfriend?" She asks. I nod excitedly and hug her tightly.

Gosh I love this girl from the bottom of my heart.

After we pull away from the hug I make a serious face and speak up. "Why were you crying El" I ask in a concerned tone. She looks down and says "I've been having a hard time at home adjusting to this new town. I've had an argument with my parents last night about how I didn't want to move and leave my perfect life behind me like it was nothing. They screamed at me saying I should be grateful about everything in my life. I don't wanna go back so I wouldn't face them again" she burst into tears after she stopped talking.

Before I could comfort her, I hear the front door open and Billy walked in. He greeted me and walked over to my room "max whos this?" He asked "my girlfriend" I replied "nice to meet you, I'm Billy. What's your name?" He puts his hand out to greet El "Eleven" she said shaking his hand "take care of my sister will you? And plz don't break her heart" Billy said while walking away. I looked at El confused "did you just lie to my brother about your name?" I asked in a confused voice "what! No! My real name is Eleven Jane Hopper but ppl call me El for short" she said "oh okay" I replied.

She suddenly gets a call from her dad and gets up to answer it. I accidentally overheard their conversation and my heart stopped listening to her shivering voice while she defended herself. "I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT. I FINALLY MADE A FRIEND HERE AGAIN AFTER EVERYONE FUCKING FORGOT ME AND GUESS WHO'S FAULT IS THAT? YOU! AND NOW YOU WANT TO MOVE BACK TO CALIFORNIA? IM NOT LEAVING THIS PLACE! YOU CAN GO THERE WITH WILL BUT I'M STAYING HERE!" she yelled.

She hung up and walked back to the room. I saw her tearing up "baby what's wrong?" I asked "My dad wants to move back to California but I don't want to move back so I told them to move there without me. Idk where im going to live, I think I'll just put myself up for adoption and hope someone would like to adopt a stupid dumb 16 year old" she said, I paused for a second then spoke up "you're not going to an adoption center, you're gonna move in with me" I said.

I could've sworn I saw her blush lightly. She spoke up again "it's fine I don't want to cause your family trouble they already have 2 children, having three is really hard. I'm sure living in an adoption center isn't that hard" she says in a sad tone. "No. You're not putting yourself up for adoption. You're gonna live here. My parents don't even care. They aren't home most of the time so we'll have the house all to ourselves" I tell her as I go in for a hug to comfort the now crying El that is sitting in front of me. She nods happily and I can't help it but smile.

I take her back to her place to pack her stuff. Her dad sees me and asks El who I am, I see El start to shake and I step up "her girlfriend" I said while holding el's hand tightly, her dad was shocked at my comment. "just get your clothes and get out." He said. El takes her clothes and stuff and storms out with me behind her.

ELS POV:

I'm terribly horrified of my dad when he gets angry. But I'm really grateful that Max let me move in with her, I am so lucky to have her as my girlfriend. I am on my way back to her house and I can't stop getting butterflies as I hold onto her waist while she bikes to her house. "You okay back there?" I heard Max say "yeah I'm okay." We arrive at her house and Billy sees me with my bags "what's going on?" He asked confused "El is going to move in with us cuz her parents are moving back to California and she doesn't want to move back cuz she finally accepted life here. So I suggested her to move in" Max said "oh okay. Welcome to our family El" Billy said while giving me a smile. I smiled back.

Max and I went back to her room, I yawn and max laughs "you tired?" She asks "Yeah" I say "you can change wherever you want" she said "even in front of you?" I asked while laughing "yes even in front of me" she says. So I changed in front of her and I hear her gasp "woah your body is gorgeous" she says. I blush "thx" i change and get into bed and cuddle up with max and we fall asleep.
