MAXS POV: The next I woke up but didn't find el next to me, for some reason I panicked a little and sat up straight in bed a looked around the room. Right then and there El walked into the room with a toothbrush in her mouth. I smiled at her and got out of bed and pulled her into a hug.
Tiny A/N: i wish I could hug El or Max or even both of them. I love them both so much 😭😭.
El left the room and went back to the bathroom. I got ready in her room. I wore some black ripped jean shorts with a cute shirt tugged into the pair of shorts, I looked a little bit descent.
After I finished wearing my clothes, the door opened. I turn my head a little and find El walking in looking like the queen she is, she wore ripped jeans with a cute crop top that we bought when we were shopping. "You look gorgeous" I told her with a smile on my face "thank you Maxie. You look gorgeous too" she complemented me back "you think so? I was about to change I don't really like how I look" I said while looking down "besides everyone will see my bruises it's embarrassing" I felt a pair of hands around my waist pulling me close to them and kissing my neck. I turn around and hug El tightly not wanting to let go "n.1 you look gorgeous in that outfit. N.2 if you go out with that while showing your bruises and walk confidently you'll give the other girls more courage to stop covering their scares cuz that's what makes them perfect...and what makes you perfect" I thought of what she said and she's right. "KIDS, BREAKFAST" El's mom screamed from downstairs.
Eleven took my hand and we ran downstairs and sat on the table. "Morning you two. Did you sleep well?" Her mom asked "yeah we did" Eleven answered her. "You sure you kept things PG in there?" Will asked while walking downstairs. Eleven rolled her eyes and gave him a death stare. He honestly looked scared for his life.
I have to admit Eleven is scary when she's mad cuz you know she has powers if you make her mad she can just make you fly across the room. "What is he talking about?" Hopper asked "oh, uh, Will walked in on me when I gave Max a little peck on the lips" El said followed by a nervous laugh. She was honestly really bad at lying. No offense to El.
We finished eating breakfast and all three of us (Me,Will and El) got our bags and walked to school. "Did you guys have fun last night?" Will asked. El gives him another one of her deadly death stares. I couldn't hold in my laugh anymore so I burst out into laughter. I can sense El and Will look at me confused. After I managed to calm down we continued walking.
We arrived at school and we saw Dustin, Lucas and Mike next to the bikes rack. El's eyes instantly widen and she ran towards Dustin and Lucas pulling them into a long tight hug. When they broke the hug Lucas and Dustin looked confused. "Shit I forgot you don't remember me. Mike why didn't you tell them?" She asked Mike "I did but idk why they didn't recognize you." He answered her, "do I really look that different?" She asked confused "honestly El, you do. When i first met you your hair was really short. Shorter than this." I told her "and you had a buzz cut before that" Mike said.
Suddenly we hear Dustin gasp. We look over at him and see him jumping up and down in excitement. We all give him a confused look and he hugs El again. And Lucas does the same thing. They remembered her I guess.
It's second period and El and I have English class together. I glance over at El and see her biting the inside of her bottom lip which means she's nervous. I put my hand on her thigh and gave her a comfort look, she smiled at me and we got weird stares from a few kids. I figured they're just some weird homophobes but I didn't care.
P.S: me and El sat on the same table. Like she shared a seat you can say.

Like these seats but different kind of tables. So El and I shared a seat and we normally held hands under the tables in class.
While I was in the hallway getting my books from my locker a girl walked up to me "what happened to your legs? They're all bruised up. Are you okay?" She asked. She seemed nice. I gave her a friendly smile "yeah I'm fine. My stepdad used to beat me up but he's in jail now." I say and suddenly I feel something wet roll down my cheek. Before I could wipe it, I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. I smile as I recognize the pair of arms. I turn around and kissed El. "Hey" she said while giving me her warm and cute smile "hey love" I say while pulling her into a hug. We pulled apart "and...you are?" El asked the mysterious girl standing staring at us "oh um I'm Amy" she said "oh okay. I'm Eleven and that's Max" El responded "are...you two dating?" The girl asked "yeah we are" I answered her question "oh ok" the girl said in embarrassment. Suddenly the bell rang indicating that 6th period is about to begin "we should get to class" I said "nice to meet you Amy" I continued. I took El's hand and went to class.
