"Here", I handed two frappuccinos to the girls in front of me, flashing a sweet smile.
"Can I get your IG?" one of them asked, blushing and I nodded, giving it to her with a shrug.
"Oh you have a lot of followers!"
"Not suprising considering," her friend giggled, and I raised an eyebrow.
"Thank you?" I played it cool.
When the girls left, I stared at the café, brimming with energy with all the students either talking or listening to music while studying which wasn't suprising seeing how the exam season was just a few weeks away.
While I was lost in my thoughts, a soft voice gently pulled me back and caught my attention. "Excuse me?"
I looked on my left, and infront of the counter stood a junior with soft brown eyes and straight bangs, looking nervous.
"Yeah?"
"Can you help me with a few questions?" he asked shyly, pointing to his accounting assignment.
I nodded, placing down my pen briefly and leaned across the counter, our hands touching briefly.
"Thank you so much!" he gushed after I had cleared all his doubts.
"No worries! We have all been there buddy. I used to hate accounting too" I smiled.
"If you don't mind me asking...you are Vesper Evans right?" he closed his books.
"Yes I am, why?"
"Oh no reason! Professor Brody always speaks highly of you, so I was just wondering" he smiled.
"Wow, I didn't know that!" I laughed, thinking how the sulky old man, with his constant sour scowl, had never have even cared to praise me when I was in his class last year."See you around Vesper"
"See you around...er"
"Nico" he smiled and gave me a little nod as he left.
The door jingled as new people entered and I immediately ducked under the counter to hide, my face burning with embarrassment.
"We saw you" Sandy smirked, bending over the counter and poking my cheek, and I giggled nervously, feeling my face grow even hotter. Fuck.
"I wasn't hiding-" I protested, trying to sound convincing despite my obvious embarrassment.
"Says the guy who has been avoiding us for four days now," Arlo argued, raising an eyebrow.
