"We outnumber you, just surrender and we might let you live Caspian" my attacker laughed behind my back as more hooded figures stepped out and encircled me.
These might be the best part about ambushes, even though they are unexpected and the assailants always thought that they have the upper hand because of the suprise factor, it was almost funny how they assumed that I would walk around without having some sort of protection.
"Ah, how cute! You think you can take me down with your little gang?" I took out a lollipop from my pocket and opened it up, eyeing the mob of hooded men around me.
"Who sent you? Your mommies?" I sucked on the sweet strawberry juices in my mouth.
"Your well-wishers" the attacker snarled, at my comment.
Well, someone had mommy issues.
"Well-wishers? My ass" I let out a throaty chuckle, my eyes narrowing.

Before he could react, my hand was on my waist. I drew out my gun and pressed it to his forehead.
In a second, more guns drew, all pointing to my head as my merciless eyes bore holes through my attacker.
I felt my chest burn, if there had been even a light spark, i am sure I would have combust. They had already taken Lexi away from me and I wouldn't let anyone take the people I love from me ever again. Even if it meant I had to burn the world down to ashes.
"No one messes with my family. You're just a fucking pawn in this game. And you know what?" I warned in a low voice.
Overhead, I could already sense the movements of my men, ready with their guns to shoot down the people surrounding me. But, I waited. I needed more information on these self proclaimed well wishers.
"If you want to fucking live, don't make me repeat it, who are these well wishers?"
The girl looked at me with disbelief and then, spoke, her sneers testing every little bit of self control I had left.
"Oh my my my, Caspian! You must have gone rusty because I recall Adrianna telling us that you were dangerous", she smiled, her eyes sparkling with mockery, "you're stupid enough to not even realise what the hell is going on".
A low growl hummed in my throat. I was out of the loop? Adrianna and Agatino were hiding in the States after the death of the head of Bernardii's. As far as calculative skills went, Adrianna was the most sly person in the family, from getting rid of politicians to blackmailing VVIPS, she had done it all. I had been keeping tabs on her ever since she moved to this country but her attacking me today made no sense whatsoever.
