Ch. 15 Clipper Mill Bridge

Can you meet me at Clipper Mill Bridge today at 6?
To: Alex
Sure <3

Wear something warm <3

Will do Dad.

Okay honey, you know how it goes. No kissing on the first date, an if he touches you, you hit him!
To: Alex
What?!

That's what my Dad would always say to Noemi and Karina when they went on dates :D

Today was Valentine's Day. I will say I was kind of confused when Alex told me to meet him at a bridge. But, you know with him there's always surprises. Since it was already 5:11 and Clipper Mill Bridge is not that close, I began to get ready. I took a warm shower and washed my hair. After, I blow dried it and went to my closet. I grabbed a beige jumper and a pair of light blue ripped jeans. I also grabbed a pair of beige flats with gold.
After getting dressed I looked at the clock to find that it was 5:34. I rushed and put on some lip gloss, a pair of peach bracelets and a purse.
At the bridge-
I got out of my new car- yes I did get my license. I walked towards the bridge. When I was overlooking the city lights I stayed admiring the view since Alex hadn't shown up yet. As I was looking over at a couple riding in a boat underneath the bridge I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around expecting it to be Alex, but it wasn't. It was a guy in about his late 30's.
"Are you Allison?" He asked. "Uh.." I replied not sure if telling him I was was the safest choice. "I'm friends with Alex." He said. "Oh..um, yeah I'm Allison." I said. "Great, Alex told me to give you this." He said handing me a piece of paper with hearts. It read:
If you must go in from out,
Just knock on this.
It's very stout.
"What's this?" I asked. "It's a riddle." He replied. "So.." I said letting the sentence hang. "You will see a couple of these, you have to solve them to meet Alex." He said. "Oh." I said. Well, to go in somewhere you need to knock on a door. "Thanks!" I said as I did a small jog over to my car. I started it and began my way towards Alex's house.
When I got there I saw a piece of paper taped to the door. It read:
"When you watch a movie and want to slouch, you'll find the clue under the _ _ _ _ _"
Hmm.... Slouch.. COUCH! I opened the door and walked towards their living room. On the couch I found a box of chocolate with a note next to it. It read:
Don't sit too close your parent's warn.
A remote control turns me on.
I giggled at what he wrote and went to their TV. Once I was standing in front of their flat screen TV. I saw two sticky notes on it. One read:
Hit play <3 -Alex
And the other one read:
Long ago I'd send love letters everyday.
Now I send hugs and kisses this way.
I grabbed the remote control sitting on a love seat. I hit play and a slide-show began. The slide-show showed a picture of us when we went on our first date. It showed me laughing as he tickled my sides. I smiled. It almost felt like yesterday. The slide show continued showing pictures of us, there was one that I was scrunching up my face as he kissed my cheek, one of us sticking our tongues out at each other and one where we were kissing and Erik was in the background with a look of disgust.
I laughed as the pictures faded and a message came on:
Forever.
I reread the clue and at first I thought it was a phone or some sort of walkie talkie. But then I walked towards their study and on their computer was a note.
After a long night of egg hiding
and making kids feel groovy,
the Easter Bunny just wants to sit back and watch a _ _ _ _ _.
Smoothie? Nah, who would want to watch a smoothie? A movie? I walked towards the theatre room and found another note.
This is where you rest your head.
I'm soft and safe; I'm called a _ _ _.
These were too easy. I walked towards Alex's room and on the bed I saw a huge teddy bear with a heart that said 'I love you' I walked towards it and in front of the heart was another note that said:
It's near the window,
that's for certain,
take a look
behind the _ _ _ _ _ _ _.
I walked towards the window and place the curtain aside. What I saw made me smile from ear to ear. Alex was holding a giant poster which said:
Happy Valentine's Day Baby!
I love you <3
I opened the window and climbed out. As soon as my legs touched the ground I sprinted towards him and kissed him full on the lips. After an amazing kiss I pulled away and said "I love you too."
Everything was perfect... that is until we were walking towards the front door and Alex stopped dead in his tracks. He stayed frozen for a while but then he stood protectively in front of me. "Babe, go inside." "What's wrong?" "Go inside please." He said. I staid right behind him. "Allison go inside." He said with a tone I didn't recognize and for some reason it made me run inside.
At this point I was beyond terrified. But I didn't know that our perfect Valentine's Day would become the beginning of a nightmare.
