(Play Song)

I rake my hands through my wet red hair, it stuck to my shoulders like glue. Droplets dripping down my back as I start to dry my body from the bottom up. I hear grunting from the kitchen as I continue to dry myself in the bathroom, the kitchen sink's water flowing. I think nothing of it, placing a pair of loose black pajamas on until a chill runs down my back, my hairs standing up on the back of my neck. My eyes shine white, them glowing in the bathroom mirror as I have a short feeling of something bad happening.

The sound of glass shattering kicks me out of my daze, my powers ceasing in an instant. I open the bathroom door in a flash and run out to see Matt holding his head by the brick wall.

"Matt..." I say unsurely as I see his eyes wide and scared. Blood runs down his nose, staining his face and shirt.

"Matt!" I yell louder but he doesn't hear me. My heart starts to beat faster and my feet carry me closer to him, my hand held up in front of me to catch his attention. Once I get close enough, I place a subtle hand on his shoulder making him jump in fear.

His eyes are glassy and his breaths are all over the place.

"Matt, what's wrong?" I ask him as I keep my hand on his arm, running it up and down his bicep to calm him down, hoping he can sense it to me just by my touch.

His eyes shut close as he stumbles back, sliding to the floor. I quickly sink to the floor beside him, trying to tell him that everything is okay. His hands grip his ears as if he's trying to rip them off. He starts to yell out, eyes tearing.

I place a hand on his cheek, the prickle of his beard pinching my palms. His breathing getting erratic as well as mine since I don't know what to do, how to heal him.

So instead I place my lips on his cheek, letting it sink into him that I'm with him and I won't leave him.

His breathing slows just slightly, his hand gripping mine tightly, his knuckles white while mine is pink from how hard he's gripping me. I slowly take my hand out of his as I help him, laying his head on my lap as we lay on the floor. His head is heavy on my lap, his body draped on the floor and my hands raking through his hair, knowing it calms him.

We lay there for I don't even know how long, but Matt's phone goes off for the third time. However, it rings in the bedroom. I decide to ignore it, knowing I can't leave Matt right now.

I place my hands on Matt's temples, my eyes glowing as I heal any headache he might feel. I feel his body relax and a few moments later his body becomes heavier as he falls asleep.

About two hours later, Matt starts to wake up. I straighten up my back, feeling my now dry hair knotted from leaning against the wall.

Matt's eyes open and my hand rakes his head.

"Matt?" I question, hoping he can now hear me. He lets out a sigh as he sits up and wipes his bloody nose. I place a hand on his lower back, trying to communicate with him. But instead, he whips back to face me and engulfs me in a strong hug.

I wrap my hands around his neck as I feel a feeling of joy.

"I...thank you." He whispers as he sniffles, holding me tight.

"I am here, promise," I tell him confidently.

"I love you." He says in a groggy voice causing a smile to break onto my face.

"I love you too." I hum.
