Chapter 51: Unresolved Problems
AYANA MARIE's POV
"Why are you apologizing...for her?"
"Why do you trust her so much, Ayana?"
"You know what? I hate this, Ayana..."
"I really hate everything that's happening to us right now, Ayana. This is so annoying and I totally hate it."
"Can't we just go back to how we were before?"
I couldn't help myself but heave a deep sigh while stirring my hot chocolate. Ever since Ryosuke-kun and I have met, we haven't argued about something as serious as this. Even that time when I asked him if I could move out from his house and decided to live in an apartment to avoid the eyes of the reporters since his rumors at that time were widely spread. Yes, we had argued back then since Ryosuke-kun was so hesitant about me living here all alone in Japan but it doesn't take so many days for us to reconcile unlike what's happening to us right now. Come to think of it, this is the very first time that Ryosuke-kun and I had argued about the same topic for this long and to think that this wasn't about us but because of our friends' conflicts. I couldn't help but sighed once again as I simply looked at my reflection on my hot chocolate. Just why do we have to continue to argue about something that we are not even involved with in the first place?
"Are you alright, Ayana?" I was back to my senses when I suddenly heard Airin call me. Eh? Ah, right. We are still here at Inoo-chan's resthouse as we celebrate Keito-kun and Takaki-kun's birthdays though we have to leave right after our breakfast because we have to head back to Tokyo to prepare our things. Wait, what did Airin just say?
"Ah, hai? I'm so sorry, Airin... What is it again?" I asked her while she just stared at me. Oh no... I'm starting to feel bad for not paying attention to what she was saying.
"You know what? We could really feel that there's definitely something going on between you and Yamada-kun, Ayana." Airin suddenly said, which caught me off guard as she crossed her arms on her chest. W-what?
"Actually..." And once again, my attention was suddenly averted when I heard Ayumi-chan speak. H-hai?
"We've noticed that you've been spacing out ever since yesterday, Ayana-chan..." Rie-chan said as she exchanged glances with Ayumi-chan and Airin before they both nod their heads. E-eh? Am I that obvious?
