She got up and sprinted away but stopped in the spiderweb again.

"What the- I thought we got rid of you earlier?!" She struggled to break free from the web. The creeper slowly inched closer and closer. She cried for help. "STEEVVVE! THIS TIME I-I REALLY NEED THIS!"

Steve was getting obsidian and the echo of the ravine got louder and louder. He grunted and put his pickaxe away.

"Oh God- I'm gonna die right here right now!! I'll lose everything I've got!" (yes respawning exists in this fic aswell shut up)

Suddenly, Steve came in and shot arrows at the creeper multiple times. Once it had died, he stared at Alex.

"Thank you so much Steve, I-I could've-"
"Yeah, I know. Just save it and get out of the web. The sun has already set if you didn't notice.."

He was a bit upset at how little progress they had made. Steve wanted to build a portal badly, but it felt as if Alex was just slowing him down, with her needing him every 5 seconds.

Despite his gloominess, Alex finally got out of the web and pat his shoulder. "You're a real trooper, Steve." She smiled.

He was a little shocked by that, but thats what reminded him of why he isn't just doing this alone in the first place. Alex is optimistic, and although she isn't the best at her work shes doing her best and shes doing it with a smile. He gently nodded and followed her as they both climbed out the ravine.
