~~Chapter 4~~

--Angel's POV--

I stood up and went to my room. When I swung the door open, my jaw dropped. Clothes were everywhere, my books were scattered around, and papers that were once neatly placed on my table were now messed up on the floor. I racked my brain for an explanation for this mess. I didn't have any siblings, and no pets. After I shut the door, I set to work tidying up my room. While I was picking up my soiled clothes off the floor, I remembered why my room was a mess. I forget to clean my room after dad died. It's not that he's the one to tell me to clean my room. It's for him I clean my room. As I tossed my soiled clothes into the hamper, I remebered the time when I was 5.

"Angel, your room is really messy. And now I'm sad," my dad said before, when I was still 5 years old.

"Dad, if I clean my room always, will you be happy?" I asked him.

"Yes I will, Angel!" He said.

"Okay, dad. I'll clean my room," I said, wanting to make him happy.

So yeah. Now I forget to do so. I picked up my scattered books and papers, then placed them on my desk. Even my desk is really messy. I segregated all my papers, then put them in neat piles. As I was segregating the papers, I saw a pamphlet that read,

Cosplay Convention at Megamall!!

There are competitions, games, prizes and more!!

See you at the 5th floor at Megamall!

I remembered getting this from a cosplayer at Timezone, the arcade place where me and my dad played. I sighed as I remembered that time. It was, well, one of our last bonding times. I shook my head and decided to go to Megamall to go check the cosplay convention that the pamphlet said is happening now.

I got dressed and put some light makeup. I put my phone in my pocket. Then I put my purse, a bottle of water, some chips, and my jacket in my backpack. Yep, I know. I like bringing a bottle of water everywhere. I got it from my dad. My dad. I shook my head again as I went out of my room.

As I walked down the stairs, I accidentally bumped into our house maid.

"Oh, sorry!" I apologised. "Bye Yaya! Gotta go now!" I shouted over my shoulder as I ran out of the house.

“Oi, Angel! Where are you going?” I heard her shout after me.

I just ignored her as I ran.

Even though I was just 14, I could travel alone.

I went to the bus station and waited. After a few minutes, a bus came and I got on. I paid for the fare to Megamall and found a seat. With nothing to do, I looked out the window.

I wondered what people exactly do in cosplay conventions. I mean, yeah, I saw the flyer, but I don't really get it. I see cosplayers all the time, but why do they do that? Cosplaying? Wait, what does it even mean? I got my phone and opened the browser to Google. Then I remembered that there's no wifi. I pouted. I was gonna search what cosplay meant. I put my phone back in my pocket.

"Oh, great! I forgot my hairspray!" I heard someone say. "Lottie, did you bring it?" I looked to my right. Wait. I didn't see them get on. Oh, right. I was too lost in my thoughts to mind them.

"Yes, I did, James." The girl named Lottie was beside me, facing the boy she was talking to who was on the other side of the bus. "I hate having to take the bus. Why didn't we bring the car?"

"Because there's something wrong with the engine, and I had to bring it to the mechanic. And he said that the wires were eaten by a rat. I told you that a million times." The boy named James answered, evidently pissed.
