* NOBODY'S POV *

Thoma: "Milady, please, you should find some other way to distract yourself. Pacing around like you are now is only going to worry you more. You should try to take your mind off of them and—"

Ayaka: "I... I can't help it. We have nobody watching over Y/N now, with Sayu busy elsewhere and neither me nor Yoimiya able to accompany them to the Shrine... what if something happened? Maybe Guuji Yae figured out who they were and arrested them?! I... I should go to the Shrine and find them..."

Thoma: "Milady, doing something so rash will only risk your position and opportunity, as well as Y/N's connection to you. You should try and give them a bit more faith. I'm sure they'll be just fine!"

Ayaka: "I guess... But even still, I have this weird feeling in my chest... and I can't help but fear that there could be a reason why, maybe that something bad has happened to them?"

Thoma: ". . ."

Ayaka: "Huh? What's that face for Thoma? Do you know something I don't?"

Thoma: "I... Well, I suppose I have some ideas as to what could cause sensations like the one you're describing... But I think this might be something you might just need to figure out on your own!"

Ayaka: "Huh? What do you mean by that?! What do you know?! Thoma?!"

Thoma: "Hahaha! I'm going to go and give the estate another dust down I think, to keep the place looking nice and clean!"

Ayaka: "Wait! Thoma! Don't go! You have to tell me—"

Thoma: "Didn't you mention something about wanting to play some board games with Y/N? Why don't you try and find where we had some of those old sets back in storage? To try and keep your mind from worrying so much?"

Ayaka: "... *sigh* I suppose I can do that..."

Thoma: "Great! I'll leave you to it then! I keep it all nicely organised in there, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find what you're looking for."

Thoma then walked on and out of the building, leaving Ayaka alone and still with an iota of confusion as to what it was that Thoma was hinting about to her about her feelings...

* AN HOUR LATER *
* Y/N'S POV *

Well, I suppose that, all things considered... that whole debacle really wasn't as bad as I worried it would end up being! Sure, that Yae Miko is kind of an intimidating person... in multiple ways, but at least she doesn't seem to be an enemy... for now at the very least. She knew quite a bit about me too... might she even know about the fact that I was the one behind that attack on the Shogunate Vision Stealers the other day?

Regardless, I think it would probably be safer for me if I kept my distance from her as much as I can. Although, I don't think that's really up to me... as not only am I at the mercy of Yoimiya and Ayaka's council and decisions, but it also seems that Yae Miko also has some interest in all of this – and considering how much power she seems to have, being the head Shrine Priestess and also in charge of that Yae Publishing place... she's probably not someone I want to upset at all.

It had only really been a short while since leaving the top of that Shrine and then parting with the newly acquainted friend that I had made in Shinobu. But seeing as I was still in the area, I thought it wise to go and pay the Kamisato Estate a visit, just so as to report to Ayaka and let her know that I returned successful from my visit to the Grand Narukami Shrine.
