After Yoimiya had patched me up enough to allow the possibility of safely moving again, she helped me up to my feet... to which, rather embarrassingly, I quickly collapsed to the sandy floor once again because of the sudden pain that coursed through me.
The next time she picked me up she did so with my arm draped around the back of her neck. This allowed for me to lean into her to alleviate the pressure applied on my wounded leg.
The two of us then walked from the beach Yoimiya found me on and she led me onto a dirt path more inland— well... she walked, I hobbled along beside her! But now we were on the dirt path, on either side of us was civilisation, with one side being a small village and the other being more in-line with a city.
We were heading towards the latter.
Yoimiya: "Oh! It looks like we've got some more steps coming up, brace yourself!"
Y/N: "Well, these ones have railings at least, I'll just OW! ... use them."
Yoimiya: "Hey hey! What did I say about sudden movements?"
Y/N: "... to not to..."
Yoimiya: "That's right! Oh! And do you remember what I said to say if anyone asks about your Vision?"
Y/N: "That I don't have one... and was never given one, right?"
Yoimiya: "That's right! It's better nobody else knows for now, given how tense the atmosphere is right now, and it's also pretty convenient you don't have it on you in case you get searched anyways... But I promise I'll help you look for it once you're feeling better!"
Y/N: "Thank you. That's very kind of you..."
Yoimiya: "You're welcome! I like to help folks where I can with this Vision Hunt Decree, given my fortunate circumstances and all, but I suppose I'm known for being quite chatty, and, well... you seem like quite an interesting person to talk to!"
Y/N: "Right... you mentioned that Vision Hunt earlier too... is it, well... is it literal in its naming?"
Yoimiya: "Unfortunately, yes. People with Visions are being hunted down and their Visions taken from them. Usually it's just the Vision they take, but... there have been outliers..."
Y/N: "And what exactly do they need these Visions for...?"
Yoimiya: "Well, that's the thing! They don't seem to actually need them? I'm pretty sure all the stolen Visions have just been placed into that giant statue up in the higher part of town, in front of the Shogun's palace."
Y/N: "What? That doesn't even make any sense... weren't these Visions a gift from an Archon? Who are they to take them from people? ... actually, who even are they?"
Yoimiya: "It was an order from the Electro Archons herself, the Raiden Shogun. So you can see now why it's kinda difficult for most ordinary folk to refuse. Especially with how strong in numbers the Shogun's army is."
