Bye, My First

Jaehyun just sat there in the dark. He took his phone out and started typing. The contact name being "My first", he had always saved Jungwoo's name like that. Taeyong once saw that name but he didn't ask anything about it.

"I saw your note. Am I just a hyung to you? Is that all I am? But I want to be more than that. Am I not that worth it?"
But that number was long gone. It was not available. Jungwoo haven't used that number.

They graduated and they have all moved out. The kids still attend uni and they would sometimes join but not all the time and mostly, it would be Taeyong, Doyoung, Yuta and Jaehyun. Sometimes they would meet and some other times, some won't come because of their work but most of the time, they would plan to meet up. And those late night meet up, no one would miss it. They would catch up on how they were doing.

On one of those late night meet, Doyoung started talking about how Jungwoo had a hard time because of Jaehyun. He was a bit tipsy. He was not that drunk and he said he can still remember what he said the next day. Maybe those frustration that he kept to himself got the better of him and that day is the day Doyoung throw it on Jaehyun. The younger just sat there not saying anything. How could he know when Jungwoo didn't say anything? On the other side, Jaehyun was wrong too. He presumed that Yuta really like Jungwoo and he didn't want to like stand between them.
"Hyung, do you think it was just Jungwoo that had a hard time? Has anyone asked about me?"

All of them remained silent. Jaehyun was not wrong. He was not the kind of kid to raise his voice to them and he did. Taeyong understand him. Jaehyun once told him that he was having a hard time but he didn't tell him the reason. Doyoung who was tipsy earlier is now fully drunk. Jaehyun couldn't control himself and he drank even more. He couldn't stop his hands. He kept pouring. All these while, Yuta was watching them and he didn't say anything. He took his phone out and called someone. He just got up and came back after a while. When he came back, Doyoung and Jaehyun couldn't even lift their heads. They were so drunk. Taeyong asked where he were. Yuta didn't even bother to answer.

Taeyong looked away for a minute and when he turned back, he was shocked to see who was sitting next to Doyoung. Kim Jungwoo was sitting next to Doyoung. He cannot wrap his head around and pinches Jungwoo. Jungwoo being real winces at the pain.
"Hyung, it's me fr!"

Taeyong, on his instinct, woke Doyoung up by shaking him violently.
"Yah!!! When did you come back? Why didn't you tell me anything?" Doyoung bombarded Jungwoo with questions that everyone wants the answer to. The younger just sat there saying nothing but staring at the one he miss so much.
"Well, he's knocked out. He had too much to drink."

Jungwoo kept looking at Jaehyun.
"I have something to say to him. I think I have something to say to everyone and I don't think it's today. Can we meet again tomorrow or maybe this weekend?"
Taeyong was staring at Jungwoo in awe because he was not that kid who used to talk so much but now he's changed.
"Yeah! Totally, we can meet tomorrow. Will you mind if I bother you a bit?"

Taeyong was asking a favour from Jungwoo. He cannot carry two drunk guys at the same time and Yuta escaped because he knows that Taeyong knows about him contacting Jungwoo. Taeyong didn't mind Jaehyun crashing at his place. Moreover it's not just his space, he moved in with Doyoung when he started working. The two of them have been living together for quite a long time.
They called a taxi and all four of them fit in it.

They arrived at Taeyong's place. The elder showed Jungwoo his room and asked if he can look after Jaehyun. He's just giving time to the two of them. Jaehyun literally has no idea that Jungwoo is the one taking care of him. He drank too much and he's knocked out. He's gonna get a really bad headache tomorrow.
"Hyung, I'll leave early tomorrow morning and please don't tell Jaehyun hyung that I was the one taking care of him." Taeyong don't know why Jungwoo said that but he assured Jungwoo that he won't let anyone know that he is back. Maybe he's got his own plan.

I may have not been able to say it but I'm not letting you go, hyung. It's hard for me. It's been so hard on me and I don't know why I'm so hard on myself. That whole year, I have thought about calling you but I couldn't muster up the courage. I'm still the same Kim Jungwoo, the one who's hiding behind the curtain.

Jungwoo kept his eyes on Jaehyun the whole night. He didn't get any sleep. He is recording every features of Jaehyun in his eyes like it would last forever. It's more than enough for him to stare at Jaehyun like this. He's the same old Jungwoo who's so in love with Jaehyun but don't even dare to meet his eyes.
"Hyung, I'm so determined to say it tomorrow!"

Everytime Jaehyun make some movement, Jungwoo would get ready to run out of the room. That's how he is. As long as Jaehyun doesn't open his eyes, he can stare at the elder for God knows how long.

Morning came but Jaehyun didn't wake up because as soon as he try to get up, his head would remind him how much he drank. But still he got up because he needs to wash up. It was Sunday. He did not have to go to work but still he got up. Jaehyun planned to spend the day at Taeyong's place and to talk things over with Doyoung because of last night.
When he walked by the kitchen, he saw Doyoung brewing coffee. He wanted to talk to Doyoung. "Hyung, I'm sorry for raising my voice at you but it was not just Jungwoo who was having a hard time. You know that time when Yuta hyung announced that he's dating Jungwoo, do you know how much it hurts? I didn't want things to get messy, so I just pretend I didn't see or hear anything. Sorry, hyung."

Doyoung couldn't bear to see Jaehyun like that. He's the younger brother that Doyoung cherishes the most. "What are you talking about? I have already forgotten it. I don't mind and true, you must had it hard too. Btw, do you have anything planned for tomorrow? Taeyong hyung asked for a gathering at Mark and Haechan's place."

Doyoung was trying to help Taeyong execute his plans, trying to bring Jaehyun and Jungwoo together.

I know for a fact that this is starting to get boring, so I'm trying really hard to bring it to an end. And don't worry it's coming to an end soon. Only a few chapters left, one or two.
