It was a typical day at Laminax Laboratories. Testing on new Gootraxians, preventing breaches, hunting down escapees (test subjects and Gootrax), all that stuff.
It was, well, dangerous. But the pay was high, so many could say it was worth risking your life for. After all, if you die, you die rich. And that was enough for people.
But today was different. They were having some...troubles with the lights. It kept flickering and even plunging them into complete darkness for a few minutes. They didn't want to activate Low Power Outage mode since it would take too long to recharge again. Plus, it was only for emergencies.
Speaking of Power Outages, one was about to strike them, and no one has any idea.
