"Are you sure about this?" Jacaerys asked his wife.
They were standing in a private courtyard, waiting for the blood moon to come. A pyre stood ready, the eggs placed in it.
Varys little birds would not find them, since children who were not of Martell blood were not allowed in the private apartments of House Martell.
Which meant it was very easy to identify Varys little birds and control the information they got.
Just in case, the Golden Dragon had enchanted the courtyard so no one could see them and another enchantment to keep people away from the courtyard until the ritual was over.
"Yes." Visenya said, holding the book in her hands.
According the Book of Dragons, Valyrians, if dragons went extinct, the Valyrians used sources from the sky to hatch dragons. Comets, stars, the sun, the moon, blood moons, blue moons, and constellations.
And since it would be a blood moon tonight, if everything went as the ritual explained, the dragon eggs would hatch.
The Black Dragon knew of her past life as the Girl Who Lived. He knew she could hide the dragons under illusions.
Of course, Oberyn, Doran, Mellario, Arianne, Quentyn, Ellaria, Aaron, and the Sand Snakes knew what the two were doing.
Jacaerys and Visenya weren't going to hatch Elia and Aeryn's dragons yet. Maybe in a year or two, they would.
"Here it is." Jacaerys muttered as the blood moon began to rise.
The Dragon of the Desert quickly cast a fire spell to light the pyre and began to chant the words.
The fire suddenly surged and several cracking sounds were heard and the fire stopped. And four baby dragons sat in the pyre.
"We did it." the Sun Dragon beamed at her husband.
"We did." Jacaerys said, picking her up and spinning her around as the dragons joined them, flying around the white-gold haired princess and the last of the Blackfyre line.
That is today's chapter. I hope you all enjoyed it.
