Highgarden, the Reach

299 AC

"It is truly an honor to host you, Your Grace." Mace said. "Would you like—"

"Enough, Lord Tyrell." Visenya smiled coldly. "I'm here to talk politics with the one House that stayed loyal to us to the very end... barring a few exceptions."

"A few exceptions?" Olenna said. "Listen here girl—"

"In the Dance of the Dragons, when you did nothing when your Bannerman were tearing each other apart." Visenya said. "But like I said, I am here to talk politics and your loyalty to my family."

"A marriage?" Margery said.

"I am married and the mother of two children. But if Garlan marries Arianne, I might consider one of their daughters a bride for my son, Aeryn." Visenya said.

She waved a hand, and the illusions on Rhaellion, Starfyre, and and Suvia dropped, revealing the trio of she dragons.

"Dragons." Willas whispered in awe as Mace yelped, Margery froze, and Olenna's jaw dropped.

"How?" Olenna said as Rhaellion climbed Visenya's shoulder and curled around her neck to nap.

"That is for me to know and you to guess about." the Golden Dragon said calmly. "Now, let us talk."

"You vowed to not take the Iron Throne so long as Robert lived." Margery pointed out.

"Repeat the wording." Visenya smiled.

"As long as Robert lived... of I see now. Clever." Olenna mused.

"Robert will be dead very soon. That is when House Tyrell proves its loyalty once again and I will back you against any contenders trying to take Highgarden from House Tyrell. And what I said earlier about a marriage between Arianne and Garlan." Visenya offered.

"Loras will try and convince us to back Renly." Margery said.

"Who is a third son." Visenya countered calmly. "Who's only claim to the Iron Throne is his Targaryen grandmother while unfortunately, my father was Rhaegar Targaryen, the Prince of Dragonstone. Out of all the contenders, I have the best claim."

"And no army." Mace said.

"The Dornish spears will back me, and I know that look in your eyes Lady Olenna, Lord Mace, you'll support me. I will deal with the Stormlands and give it to my cousin, the newly legitimized Aaron Baratheon. I might also consider any of his daughters a bride for my son Aeryn, and if Margery marries Aaron..."

Either way, a daughter of Garlan or Margery will have Tyrell blood, and the right blood through their other parents to be considered a possible bride candidate.

The Tyrells all quickly picked up on the unspoken words.

"He is a bastard though." Willas said, eyeing Suvia as Suvia nestled in her mother's lap with Starfyre to take a nap.

"I can personally vouch for Aaron that he will never be like his father and cheat on Margery. He will give her the utmost respect and let her rule the Stormlands with him. Aaron values family at his heart, and if he marries Margery then he will defend her and their possible children to his last breath." the Dragon of the Desert promised.

"I would like to meet Aaron." Margery said.

"That can be arranged." Olenna said. "If Aaron meets up to what you said, then we will support your claim to the Iron Throne."

"And House Targaryen will remember this for centuries to come." the Sun Dragon promised.

That is today's chapter. I hope you all enjoyed it.
