As the first wave of shock has ended, she fell on the ground. She began panting, trying to process what has happened. She looked down at her bag. It was glowing. It was calling her. What did she get herself into? She slowly stood up. She could feel the weight on her shoulders pushing her down into the ground. She started walking towards what she thought was a way leading to the end of the forest. She could barely move her bag. It was as if thousands of bricks were inside. So there she was, dragging her bag in a forest, far away from any civilization. Unless you could call this monster she has met before a part of civilization. It'd be a lie to say that she felt safe. But hey, at least she had a new magic source to experiment on. This thought didn't give her much comfort tho. There was only one thing in her mind. Should she report what she has seen? After all she found one of the missing cookies. But.. if she'd report it she'd basically snitch on herself. Being around that forest was already illegal and so what about entering it? She knew the right thing was to share the information she has gained but she was scared of the consequences. Altho was it really about the consequences or this nagging voice coming out of her bag that was telling her to keep her mouth shut? Wait, voice? What voice?
~'Argh, this place is making me insane! I need to get out of here before I'll lose all of my sanity.' [Guess who's back to continue this thing my younger self called a story]She couldn't help but notice that the sky has changed. Was it dark already? When she left, it was still day. Why did it change so quickly? Unless she lost consciousness at some point. But when? Her thoughts were interrupted, when she tripped on a rock. A small rock, covered in mud. Mud? Where did this mud come from? She fell down to a puddle. Puddle? And since when there's a puddle? There hasn't been any rain in days. So how did- proceed.
-'H-huh!? I-is anyone there!?'
No anwser.
~'So that's it, huh? I've finally gone mad.'
She tried getting back up but she couldn't. The bag was too heavy. But she could get up if she took it off, right? There's nothing holding her onto it, right? But if she'd take it off, she could loose it. What if someone's waiting for a perfect moment to snatch it away from her? This precious crystal.. Huh!?
-'What am I even thinking!?'
She yelled.
~'Ah jeez.. I'm all wet from that puddle. I need to hurry up and get home. It's getting cold.'
It took her a while to get up, while still clinging onto her bag. She felt weirdly scared about it. Paranoid even. She just wanted to go home. Every other thought she had, dissapeared completly. Home. Just let her go home. Just let them go home.
