The cursed gem

The future

It was quite of a wild ride, wasn't it? But it's important that everything ended well. But what did happen in the end? Allow me to explain.

Alchemist Cookie:

It did take her quite a while to fully regain her energy. She took a break from any experiments and researches. In that time, she apologized to Pancake Cookie and Cherry Blossom Cookie. After her break, Vampire Cookie never let her go alone for a resource refill. He'd always tag along. He was NOT going to relive that same nightmare again. For the first couple of days, she craved to see the gem, but she managed to get through.

Missing cookies:

After a couple of days, all were found and put into isolation until they didn't come to their senses. When they did, they were taken care of for as long as they weren't ready to go back to their previous lives.

The gem:

After taking a closer look, Espresso Cookie came to the conclusion that a spell was casted on the white cage, where the gem was before. The spell was supposed to make the effects of the crystal not reach any living thing. However, after so much time the spell faded away. Upon finding out about this, he managed to recreate that spell and cast it on the cage, locking the crystal in it. It was then hid in a safe, isolated place, so it'd never hurt anyone again. But that didn't end there. The fact that there might be more crystal like that one, making cookies suffer, wasn't ignored. A search team was made, that went out onto the world, searching and exploring, to make sure that the situation didn't repeat itself in another place.

(This might become a series of oblivious cookies finding more of those gems, but it's still only in consideration, as I'm working on a longer story which I'm only halfway in. But if I find time, ideas and motivation I might make it a series.)
