Tords POV

With full gear and weapons, my team enters the Café. After not even 5 seconds of confused looks, people started screaming and panicking. They knew what was gonna go down. After my team enters, I enter behind them. looking around the place with a cigar in my mouth. Everything was going well. until I saw...

Her.

~chapter 5: a familiar stare~

She and I looked into each other's eyes for what felt like forever until somebody grabbed her and pulled her into the back. Her expression was definitely different from what I knew of her. She looked so surprised, maybe even shocked. I can assure though that she was in disbelief. It hasn't even been a while since she moved here after all. I don't even know why I remember all this about her, she's just like anybody else.

She is not special.

But I could not let some simple girl hold me back from accomplishing my dreams and goals. I've been working my ass off for this for months and years. I will not fail, not now. And never. Immediately I followed her thru the back, seeing the person dragging her away. It looks like an older man With blond and short hair, he is wearing a white shirt and black pants. They ran into a room with a thick metal door, which I am assuming was the freezer. What a stupid decision. Around 3 other people followed them inside before they shut the door, the only thing I could hear is the screaming in the dining area and some mumbling going inside the freezer. I made my way back into the dining area, looking at all the dead bodies. only 4 survived by not resisting, everyone else was too desperate for freedom. Too bad, isn't it?

"Alright, that'll do. But, we have some other people to take care of." I looked to the hall towards the back. Without saying another word everyone knew what was up. people hiding.

One part of the team went with me while the other took care of the 4 survivors. While the survivors are being taken care of, my team reaches the end of the hall. On our right side was another small hall with a big metal door.

"We have to open this door asap," I ordered. The soldiers immediately got to work and started hammering on the door like it was their only shelter to survive. Different ways were used to try to open the metal door, from just kicking and hammering on the door to using a military breacher. It luckily didn't take too much to open the heavy metal door since it wasn't high security, only a freezer door. And there I saw her again, sitting on the floor, crawling up into a ball with the rest of her coworkers. It was very dark and the light was dim, so I could only assume her expression was full of terror and fear.

Her expression. It's all I could think about, she must be terrified. Or if she's, which is unlikely, interested in that idea. Maybe there's a side to her I didn't know about? I can't be sure. But why does it matter to me anyway?

I knew I have to quickly snap out of it, so I did. partly.

"Take everyone captive immediately." I ordered my soldiers. While they did so, I walked back into the dining room. Everything was cleared and everyone was taken away. As the soldiers were taking everyone out of the freezer, I saw her again. This time I couldn't make out what she was feeling. Her eyes were filled with tears, and she had some sort of shocked expression. But at the same time, she seemed angry, yet unbothered by the soldiers pulling on her arm, obviously causing pain. I tried to shrug it off as best as I can, leaving the Café with my soldiers.

The last group of prisoners was being put into a big truck that only had a small window on the very top on the left.

"Everything cleared!". It was time to bring everyone to the base. In the past years, I have worked on the underground prison to add more cells and floors. I knew, even if we were gonna kill most of the people anyway, some I would want to keep alive to experiment on a little.
