"What's that?" Namtan appeared out of nowhere while New was watching Tay's back walking away from him. "Did you guys fight? Did you already confess after you find out who the girl was?" Namtan continues asking.
"Let's go.." New said, ignoring Namtan's question.
New sighed as he passed his paper in front. He can't even focus on his test. Out of 100 items, he only got a chance to answer half of it. He took a glance at Namtan who is happily passing her test paper. He bet she will have the highest score and envy start to grow inside of him. Just like how he feels before they become friends.
Everyone calls him a spoiled brat. A child who always gets what they want but he realized that it never fits him that name. To be exact, it seems to be the opposite of him.
He can't be the favorite one.
He can't have a good or highest grade.
He can't have a happy and complete family.
The worst part is... He can't have Tay.
How did they even consider him a spoiled brat despite that? No matter how hard he tried and be a good person, people always see him the way he is.
"New, do you want to go somewhere—" New cuts her off.
"I want to be alone," New said as if there were blades in his eyes the way he looks at him.
Namtan noticed it. "Are you mad—" Again, she got cut off when New already walked away. Now, she was left there confused about what happened to them. No idea what she did wrong to make him mad. New is out and went straight to Earth's club. He texted him before he decided to go there. The club was closed this early of course but Earth said it was fine for New to come and have a drink alone.
"Don't just sit there and ask if you want," New said after chugging the beer into his mouth. Earth was sitting beside him, just watching him get wasted this early.
"It was Tay, right?" Earth asked.
"Who else?" New asked back which made him chuckle.
"What about you take that call? She's calling you ever since you came here." Earth said pointing out his phone nonstop ringing.
It's Bella.
New ignored him and his calls. He doesn't want to hear his sister's voice or even look at her face. She's always been the two-faced bitch. Maybe Tay got infected by his sister's hobby of being a liar. Just thinking of Tay lying to him, he felt a tunneling sensation inside his chest. He remembers how Tay asked him about his family. If New has communication with them or whatnot, acting as if he never knew.
Now he's thinking that Tay wants him to forgive her sister and get along for them to finally start dating freely. New pulled out his hair because of how hurt it was. There are a lot of questions in his mind that wants an answer to. He will meet Tay later. He wants to be a little tipsy but sober because if he was not, he doesn't think he can do it.
"I admire your bravery but what your problem is you are brave enough to do this and that but not brave enough to take a risk."
"What the fuck are you talking about?"
"This won't all happen if you didn't hide and let that fear of rejection eat you," Earth said. "Come to think of it, if you were honest back then, neither the outcome will be your freedom."
New gave Earth a confused looked, saying that he can't understand what he was trying to say. He doesn't know if it was because of the beer or he can't think of anything other than Tay.
Earth sighed, "You were smarter than this. If you were honest, there will be two outcomes. It's either you rejected or accepted. If he feels the same way, congrats but if he does not, let it go. You won't go through these shitty moments if you told him what you have been hiding before."
